Spring Chickens & Jayda's 2nd Fair Goat!

Soooo, for some reason I got the CRAZY idea to get some baby chicks.  I went to the feed store and got 6 baby chicks!  I also got a chicken coop for them that the girls help me paint.  The girls loved playing with the baby chicks!  We had fun with the chickens and kept them for about a year.  Unfortunately, I got tired of cleaning up after them all the time and we gave them to Karen.  She was happy to get some new laying chickens. At the time we gave them to her they had just started laying eggs.  Although it was fun having them, it was just too much work!

The baby chicks soon after we got them.  We kept them in this feed trough for a few weeks until they got big enough to go in their coop.

Jayda raised a goat again this year for 4-H.
She had fun with her goat and worked with him a lot more than the one from the year before.
Jayda named him Houdini because he escaped out of his pen all the time!
Feeding Houdini.
She put his food up on the fence to make his back legs stronger while he ate.

Show time!!!
Jayda did a great job showing her goat at the fair!  We were so proud of her!
