Paisley’s Palate Repair

Paisley was born with a cleft palate.  On March 2nd, 2017, we went in to Texas Children's to have it repaired.  It was a very long few days, but Miss Paisley was such a little trooper!  We only had to stay in the hospital for one night, thank goodness.  We were all SO happy to come home the next day!

The view out of our hospital room for the night.  We spent a lot of time looking out this window over the night.  Little P wouldn't let us put her down, or sit down.  Most of the night I spent standing up rocking her in my arms.  I didn't mind at all!



Headed home from the hospital, hallelujah!!  Poor baby hadn't slept the whole night before in the hospital.

Aunt Karen got Paisley this little car to play on after she came home from the hospital.  We all took turns pushing her all over the house for that first week.  Since she had to wear the arm cuffs there wasn't much she could do but she sure loved her car-car rides!

Heading outside for a car ride.  We did this A LOT for the weeks following her surgery.  It made her so happy!

Little missy even figured out how to stand up in her crib with her little arm cuffs on!  She had to wear the cuffs for about a month after her surgery.  The dr's didn't want her to put anything in her mouth and mess her surgery up.  She also had to be on a liquid diet for the month.  It was rough to say the least, but we survived!
