April Fun & Avery at 4 months!

Well, we have been staying busy this month as usual.  The weather has finally warmed up so we are really enjoying getting outside and going to the parks.  The big girls love playing outside and Avery is discovering that she likes it too.  I took Sydney and Avery to the park one morning last week and while Sydney was playing Avery sat in the stroller with her little hands together and watched the trees blow in the wind.  When she'd hear the birds chirp she'd look around to see what the noise was.  It was like she was mesmerized out there.  It was so sweet and innocent, I just loved watching her discover the outdoors.   I've already started thinking about the fast approaching summer.  I can't believe another month and a half and Jayda will be out of school, and done with kindergarten.  Wow!  My big girl is growing up so fast!  They all are really.  I'm already trying to figure out how we are going to swim at the pool, nearly everyday, like we normally do.  Maybe a baby float with a  canopy and some sunscreen will work for the little one while the big girls swim the summer away.  I'm looking forward to all the fun summer activities, but know that it is going to be challenging with all 3 little ladies home all day.  Wish me luck, I'll sure need it! :)

Sydney loves to hold her baby sister.

Such a sweet baby getting her diaper changed.  She always starts talking and smiling when I lay her on the changing table.
The girls last weekend before church.  LOVE them in these blue dresses.  Can't wait to see how our family pictures turned out with them in these dresses.

The big girls checking out the fountain outside of church.  Love my girls!

On Sunday Jacob wanted to take the boat out for a ride so we all loaded up, Daisy included, and headed to the lake.
Daisy wore her lifejacket for the first time.  Sydney was having fun teasing her with the chips. Poor puppy.

Big girl hanging out at the front of the boat.

The girls had lots of fun just playing on the tube.

I put sweet little Daisy in the water to swim for the first time.  Lets just say
she liked being on the boat laying in the sunshine much, much better than swimming in the lake. :)

This tiny little munchkin turned 4 months old a few days ago on April 14th!  Time is flying
by and she is growing like a weed!  She has been smiling so much at us and loves for us to talk to her.
She coos back at us a lot and her favorite word is probably "ah-goo".

Avery is such a happy baby.  She likes to clasp her hands together a lot.  Avery has definitely found her little voice and has quite the personality.  She squeals quite often to get your attention, or when she's mad.  She also gets very loud when she's tired or hungry.  Guess you've got to be loud around here to get your voice heard. :)

"Whatcha' doing Mommy??"  I love her little expression here.  She looks at me like this quite often when she's trying to figure out what's going on.  Think she's gonna have big brown eyes like her mommy and biggest sister.

Sweet girl was watching her big sis Sydney throw a fit in her room because she couldn't be in the picture.  My goodness!

Is there anything sweeter than sweet little painted baby toes?!  I just can't get over them!

Avery almost always has her little bitty feet together.

And, she is really into chewing on her fingers these days.   If she doesn't have a paci in her mouth she almost always chewing on her hands.   I wouldn't be surprised if she has teeth coming in by 5 months like big sis Jayda.

"Mmmm, such a yummy finger I've got!"

And I finally let big sis in the picture!  Sydney was so happy and Avery was so not.  These pictures just crack me up!  Avery is generally a happy, laid back baby.  But, if you make her mad, she gets REALLY mad and will cry so loud your ears literally start ringing.  I know that I have definite hearing loss from her and Sydney. :)  I'll have to remind them of this when I'm old one day and can't hear a darn word they are saying. Lol.  I guess she's taking after Sydney with her little personality, and Jayda with the looks.  We sure do love her to the moon though!

Avery likes to lay on her back and play. She can hold a few of her toys for a few seconds and usually brings them straight up to her mouth to chew on. When she drops it she gets mad and starts crying for you to pick it up. She does not like tummy time. I thought by now she'd be more comfortable on her tummy, but I was wrong. Almost instantly when she goes on her tummy she starts crying and pulls her knees up to her chest and kicks them back out. Guess she may start crawling soon. Lol. She has also rolled over both ways, but obviously prefers going from tummy to back. I think she just likes to see everything around her and when she's on her tummy all she sees is the floor. She definitely doesn't miss anything that goes on in this house. She is so alert and watches everything we do. She also has some "stranger anxiety" going on and cries when anyone else holds her besides me, her daddy or her sisters. I'm sure she will get past that once she gets a little older. A few weeks ago she discovered the dogs and likes to watch them play. She's even started smiling at Daisy and thinks she's pretty funny. Yesterday I had her in the bathroom and she saw herself in the mirror. It was too stinkin' cute! She would smile real big, then put her hands in her mouth and duck her little face into my shoulder. I guess she thought it was another baby. Me and the girls couldn't stop laughing at her because it was so sweet! She is such a happy baby and smiles all the time. I'm sure she can't wait to get down and play with those big sisters, and they can't wait either!

Avery also took her first ride in the baby swing on the day she turned 4 months old.  She can't sit up on her own yet so I just leaned her forward and she was able to swing like that for a while.  She was smiling and looking all around.

Sydney LOVED pushing Avery in the swing!  She usually takes her baby dolls to push them
at the park, but now she has a real baby to push!  It's a little 3 year olds dream!  Haha.

And Avery loved every minute of it!  I think she's going to love the swings just as much as her two sisters do.

Wish us luck, today we've got Avery's 4 month check up and shots.  I hate having to do this!  :(

*The shots went well, or as good as can be expected for a 4 month old.  She barely even cried with the first one,  but then really let loose with the second one.  By the time we'd walked back to the room to gather our things she had already stopped crying.  She's such a little trooper, and I'm so glad we are done with shots for now.  Yay!
"I know where we are Mommy!"

Sweet baby girl about to get her shots.

Easter 2013!

Sydney loves her baby cousin Ty!

Avery with Auntie Lourdes.

The weekend before Easter cousin Caitlyn came up for a visit with Nana and Pawpaw.
We took a trip to the aquarium before she had to go home.  The girls had so much fun with her!

Going for a ride on the ferris wheel.

The shark train ride, yay!

Sweet little Avey puts her little hands in her mouth all the time.
I think she'll be cutting teeth here pretty soon.

Over Easter weekend we dyed Easter eggs at Oma and Oupa's house.  The girls love doing this!

On saturday we attempted to get some pictures of the girls in the bluebonnets.  We got a few cute ones, but it definitely was not easy.  It's like telling them "go sit down in the weeds with the sun shining in your face, look up at the camera...and smile!"  Haha.

This one is pretty cute, but Jayda couldn't look at the camera because the sun was in her face.  Lol.

My sweet girls.

And this is what most of the pictures looked like.  Avery was not a fan of taking bluebonnet pictures!

They were much happier when they could just play in the flowers!

Woo-hoo, no more pictures! :)

"Picking wildflowers."

Love these little munchkins!

Checking out all the pretty flowers.

Playing in the bluebonnets.

Trying to get a quick family pic.  Avery was knocked out.

The Easter bunny came to visit the girls and Ty!

Baby girl with her little lamb Easter basket.

Easter 2013 after church.

Cute family picture!

All the kiddos ready to hunt Easter eggs at Nana and Pawpaw's house.  Yay!!

Sydney just had to open up her eggs to see what was inside when she found them.

Jayda found lots of eggs!

The little egg hunters.

And somebody was happy after taking a 4 hour nap on Easter!

Sweet Avery Mae's first Easter.

Cousins Avery and Ty on their first Easter together.  How cute is that?!
