We have been busy little bees lately! I've been meaning to update the blog for several weeks and I've finally gotten a chance to sit down at the computer and get a little caught up! Avery is napping and Jacob has taken the big girls down to Conroe to swim with some friends! I am enjoying my quiet time very much!
To start off, Sydney had an Easter party at her pre-school a few weeks ago. Avery came too and they had lots of fun hunting for eggs. Sydney's class even got to release the butterflies they had been raising in their classroom for the last month or so. It was so neat and the kids loved it!
Ready, set, go! And she's off to hunt for eggs! Sydney was excited to hold the butterfly.
Avery wanted to see it too, of course.
Sydney's sweet little pre-k class!
Sydney's class also took a field trip to the fair the week before Easter!
Mrs. Anitra was telling the kiddos all of the ground rules about being at the fair. I love how little Avery sat down right in the middle of the circle and was listening too. :)
First they got to touch all kinds of animal skins and shells that the park rangers had brought out.
Sweet sisters holding hands on the field trip. I love how Sydney always looks out for her little sis!
Getting ready to watch the magic show.
Sydney was pretty excited to get a kitten painted on her face.
We even got to ride on a fire truck!
Sydney and Sara on the hayride. I love these two little ladies!
Silly faces at the fair!
Miss Avery loved petting all of the goats at the fair. She didn't want to leave them.
Attempt at one more class pic before leaving the fair.
On Easter morning we got the girls up, had breakfast, and got everyone dressed for church (in a mad rush, just like every other Sunday!) Before we headed out the door I wanted to get a few quick pics of the girls, because I knew that by the time church was over they would not feel up to taking any pictures.
I was very glad they were in the picture taking mood!
Sweet Sydney Anne, I love this picture!
Our pretty little ladies! Easter 2015!
And this was our family pic attempt after church, pretty much could have predicted this would happen. ;)
They did a little better for Oma!
Now somebody was happy! No clothes on, and she got skittles!
Snapped this precious pic of Justin, Lourdes, Ty and Tiffany after church on Easter.
After we had a delicious Easter lunch, it was time for the Easter egg hunt! Unfortunately it was raining outside, so we had to move the egg hunt into the house. The kids still had fun and got lots of neat prizes in their eggs!
The girls were very excited to find their special egg with their name on it!
Ty was loving the egg hunt too!
Getting all kinds of candy (and maybe even some money) out of their Easter eggs!
Avery was super thrilled about her candy, especially since that is her favorite thing ever to eat! Kinda scary! Miss Daisy was hanging out in the middle of the girls while they opened their eggs up. Spoiled little puppy dog.
The week after Easter, the girls put their dresses back on and we headed over to my parents house to take some bluebonnet pictures. Their neighbor Martha had some beautiful bluebonnets and she said we could come over anytime to take pictures, so we did!
LOVE these precious sisters so much!!!
CHEESE! Look at all those teeth!
They wanted to curtsy. :)
The girls have been playing with little Miss Lila. Her mommy died during child birth, so Pawpaw has been bottle feeding her ever since then. She is about a month and a half old now. The girls like to go down to the pen and play with her most days after school. Lila chases them all over the pen and thinks she's one of the girls, it's so cute!
Most evenings we have been walking down to our house to check out the progress. All of the dogs like to go with us too.
Heading down to see the house!
The girls had fun climbing on the tractors in the evening once the dirt worker guys were gone.
And Avery wanted to play on the rock mound. This is what they used to build our road.
Walking down our new road!
They built our pad pretty quickly within a few days. It was so nice to finally see some progress!
Hanging out on the tractor again!
A few days after the dirt work was done they put the forms in for the concrete.
It was really cool to see the outline of our house for the first time!
These girls love to play in the dirt!
Nightly wagon ride to see the house.
They dug trenches to put the support cables and beams below the foundation.
The white pipes coming out of the ground is for the plumbing fixtures.
My silly little ladybug!
She had to get on the tractor too!
And we have concrete!!! It was so fun to walk around our house on the new foundation!
And lastly, we can't forget about the newest addition to our family, our little bunny Hopper! Daddy apparently "won" this bunny for the girls at the fair! Avery and I were not there, but when the girls got home from the fair with Daddy, they had this new bunny! At first I was a bit opposed to Hopper, but she has grown on me and the girls are loving her. We got her a litter box and she's doing pretty good about peeing in that so it's a bit easier to clean out her cage now. Jayda is in charge of cleaning out her cage and feeding her. She has done a pretty good job so far, I just hope she keeps it up!
Avery loves "Hoppa" as she calls her. ;)
Fun times with Hopper!
We even had a playdate with Sydney's friends so that they could meet Hopper.
Loving on her little bunny rabbit.
Think that pretty much catches us up for now! Until next time...
