Father's Day 2011

Last friday we went to Splashtown for the first time (at least for the girls) on the way to Huntsville. Nana and Pawpaw got Jayda a season pass to Splashtown as an early bday present so we are going to be going there a lot this summer, yay! The girls had an absolute blast! They ran around like crazy from one thing to the other for about 3 hours straight. Jayda was so excited to be able to do rides all by herself, and she loved getting to play with her cousins Cole and Caitlyn. Sydney was also super excited about it and loved going down the slides and splashing around in the water. It is the perfect place to go in the summer!

Jayda and Caitlyn coming down on of the slides at Splashtown.

This is what all of the pictures look like that I took of Jayda at Splashtown. She would not slow down or stop running around for long enough for me to get a quick pic. She had SO MUCH FUN!

Caitlyn playing with Sydney in the water. Sydney loved playing in the water also.

Sweet pic of the girls with their cousins, Cole and Caitlyn.

Last week Jayda picked out, painted, and decorated several crafts for Father's Day. She did such a great job and had lots of fun making them. She made picture frames and jewelry boxes. The jewelry boxes were hilarious because they had a picture of an animal on the front (like a chicken or cow) and then when you open them it makes the animal sound. She loved them and thought they'd be perfect! Daddy's animal had fallen off the front of his jewelry box so we bought a pirate to glue on his, and then when you opened his it made a rooster sound. Quite interesting, but definitely all made with lots of love and creativity!

All of the Father's Day crafts that Jayda painted, so cute!

Sydney helping Daddy open his Father's Day presents first thing that morning.

Jayda was so excited to give Daddy his presents that she'd made! We love you Daddy, Happy Father's Day!!

The girls playing with daddy in the pool at Oma and Oupa's house on Father's Day.

The girls went fishing with Papaw again over the weekend. Jayda caught another fish! Sydney wanted to touch it so bad, but she just couldn't.

Jacob had to fly out of town for work on Father's Day night for a couple of days, so me and the girls stayed in Huntsville with Oupa for a while. We had a lot of fun spending time with Oupa, going swimming at the pool, playing at the park and hanging out. Jayda even started swimming on her own when we went swimming with Oupa! We were so excited and proud of her! She was also able to go off the slide at the city pool because she could swim to the stairs all by herself, yay Jayda! On tuesday the girls spent some time hanging out with Nana in the morning and then Jayda got to see the new penguin movie with Nana that afternoon. On wednesday we met my Aunt Cheryl and cousin Mandi for lunch at the Farmhouse Cafe in Huntsville and had a very yummy lunch! It was so nice getting to see them and catch up! We headed back home yesterday afternoon. Jayda was SO sad to leave Huntsville, after being there for so long, and kept saying that she didn't want to leave and she wished we lived in Huntsville. Sweet girl!

Sweet Sydney in her pj's. Thought this was such a cute picture.

Jayda posing in her new little outfit.

Sweet sisters!

Our Little Austin Gettaway

Last week Jacob had a conference in Austin for a few days and I was able to go along with him so that we could have a little mini vacation. Thankfully Nana and Pawpaw watched the girls for us, so we got to get away on our own. It was SO nice relaxing and hanging out together! Hope we can do something like this again soon! On wednesday me and the girls met Nana at Chuck E. Cheese for the drop off. The girls had a blast playing the games and rides.

Checking out Chuck E. Cheese!

Having fun watching Chuck E. Cheese dance.

Jayda cheesing on the horsey!

Sydney loved riding this horse! She kept climbing up the stairs and wanting to ride it over and over.

Jayda really liked this little ride.

Jayda smiling for the Chuck E. Cheese camera.

Sydney driving the car and paying no attention to getting her picture taken with Chuck E.

Jacob and I then headed out to Austin on wednesday afternoon. The drive wasn't too bad, esecially since we didn't have 2 little munchkins with us. We checked in that night to our room at the Omni and then went out to dinner on 6th street at the Iron Cactus. Dinner was great the margaritas were so good! After dinner we hopped in the rooftop hot tub at our hotel. It was an awesome view of Austin up there. On thursday Jacob had to go to his conference all day and I ended up hanging out at the mall. I got a few things that I had been needing to get and also got a manicure. It was such a nice and relaxing day! I never get to shop uninterrupted, so I definitely did not take one minute of that for granted!

On thursday evening after Jacob finished we went out to The Oasis on Lake Travis for dinner. We love this restaraunt and it has the most beautiful view of the lake and the sunset. We had a yummy dinner and enjoyed the sunset, then went up to a new restaraunt that they have out there called Uncle Billys Brew & Que. This was a really neat place and we relaxed there the rest of the night. It was so fun listening and dancing to some live texas country music!

Beautiful sunset at The Oasis!

Love this pic!

The deck at the Oasis, pretty cool.

Uncle Billy's @ The Oasis. This was a bbq restaraunt and brewery and it had a beautiful view of the lake, big screen tv's everywhere, and a fire pit. We had a great time hanging out and listening to music while watching the basketball playoffs.

On friday Jacob had his conference again. I met him for lunch at a little sports bar and grill downtown for lunch and then spent the rest of the day laying out at the hotel pool. It was SOOOOOO nice and relaxing! Can not say enough what a great day it was! I read the book "The 5 Love Languages" while laying out and that was great book, highly recommend it for anyone that is married! After Jacob finished his conference that day he came out to the pool to hang out with me and we enjoyed some drinks by the pool. That night we went to see the movie "The Hangover II" at Alamo Drafthouse down on 6th street. We got a pizza for dinner there while we watched the movie. The movie was hilarious and we had fun actually getting to go out to a movie since that rarely ever happens.

The crazy motorcycle rally going on downtown just outside of the movie theatre we went to. It was VERY loud outside!

On saturday morning we got up and went to run together at Town Lake, like we'd done the other mornings, and then had breakfast up by the pool. We got ready and checked out of our hotel then went over to my cousin Ronnies house to see his family. It was so nice to see Ronnie and Sarah, and little Andrew. Andrew was so cute and really liked playing with Jacob, go figure. After seeing them for a bit we went over to campus to walk around for a little while and do some shopping at the Co-Op. We had such a great time in Austin and are so thankful to Nana and Pawpaw for babysitting while we were gone!

We went to check out the outdoor pools that were being built on campus right when we graduated. SO bummed that this was not there when we were in school, since I'm sure we paid for it while we were in school!

This would of been nice! I didn't take a picture of the amazing outdoor lap pool that was also part of this complex.

Had to take a quick pic in front of the fountain.

We went back to Huntsville on saturday to pick up the girls and stay for the night at Jacob's parents house. On sunday morning Jayda went fishing with Daddy and Papaw. She had been wanting to go fishing for a while since Nana and Pawpaw bought her a new fishing pole!

Out fishing with Daddy and Papaw. She was SO excited to go fishing!

She caught a fish!

Yay Jayda!

And she got another one! She actually caught about 10 fish, and was very excited about every one of them!

Sunday afternoon we set up the sprinker in the backyard and the girls had lots of fun playing in the water and with the water guns.

Getting all ready to shoot her water gun.

Silly girl trying to get a drink from the water gun.

The water guns weren't cutting it so they had to get milk jugs out instead. The girls had a blast!

Sydney was running around with her water gun and yelling "get, get, get, get!"

Firestation Tour and Summer Fun!

Sydney having lots of fun playing in the water. We have been going to either the splash park, or pool pretty much everyday because it is SO hot outside already! The girls love the water!

They like to lay out their towels and take a snack break at the splash park. The water always seems to make them so hungry!

Last thursday we took a tour of a local firestation with some friends and their kiddos from church. The girls loved checking out the firestation and firetruck! The tour went great until they got called out to a fire while we were there so we had to clear out quickly. It was still very cool!

The fireman putting Jayda up in the fire truck. Woo-hooo! The kids were all SO excited to get inside!

Sydney was not too sure about the fire truck. She eventually got in and then wanted right back out.

Jayda having fun up in the fire truck with her little buddy Carson.

Sydney actually got in the fire truck and sat in the seat for a few seconds when all the big kids got out, but it didn't last very long.

Jayda was very excited, at first, to get into the ambulance.

Jayda was very brave and said she would let the fireman monitor her heart rate to show all the kiddos how it worked. She sat there very still and did good, but after we left she said that she really didn't like that ambulance and didn't ever want to go in one again. She said that she did love the firetruck.

So excited to get her fireman hat. Yay!

Sydney was not a big fan of the hat though and wanted nothing to do with it. Figured out later that she actually didn't like the little string underneath the hat.

Jayda's little friends from church that we did the firestation tour with.

Jayda dressed up in her little tutu outfit the other day and enjoyed some sherbert during "rest time".

Sweet girl all ready for a tea party with mommy.

Concentrating very hard to pour that "tea".

Daddy being such a good sport, as always, and wearing the fireman hat that Jayda wanted him to.

Jayda layed out some blankets the other night so that we could watch a movie before bed and Sydney came over and just layed out on the little pallet. It was so cute.

The girls taking a ride on the "horsey". This game is played most nights when daddy gets home from work. Too cute!

Little missy has learned how to walk around in Jayda's dress up high heels. It is the funniest thing to see her walking around in these heels, especially since her little foot is about 1/3 the size of the shoe! She just wants to do everything the big girls do!

The girls were "getting married" to daddy the other night. They LOVE their daddy!

Sydney having fun at the pool and using the pool ring as a teething toy. Poor thing has more teeth coming in that just won't stop bothering her.

The little "runaway baby" as I like to call her! She runs away ALL the time at the pool! She always wants to go wherever we are not, so it makes for an interesting time at the pool. She'd rather run around the pool and explore everything outside of the pool than actually swim inside the pool. She is going to wear me out this summer!

Jayda getting ready to go up the slide. She loves going down this slide!

Weeeeeeee!!!
