Bluebonnets, Bluebonnets, and more Bluebonnets!

Well, as you can guess we went to see the bluebonnets this weekend! We had planned to go to the Bluebonnet festival in Brenham on saturday, but due to the terrible weather we had ALL day, it just didn't quite happen. So, we made the trip up on sunday. We met my parents at their farmhouse in Waller, then drove together to Chapell Hill for the festival. The festival was really neat and there tons and tons of booths set up. Jayda had a great time running around checking everything out and getting snow cones. I was kind of expecting bluebonnets to be everywhere at this festival, but they weren't. It's just called that because it's the season for them, and they are all over that area. So, after checking out the shops and getting some lunch we took off on a driving tour of the bluebonnets around the Brenham area. They were so beautifu! You could see hills and hills of them everywhere, it was so neat. So, of course we had to get miss Jayda out of the car and take some quick pictures. We stopped on the side of the road at some peoples ranch. There was a sign that said "no treaspassing", but everyone was out on these people's land taking pictures, so we figured why not? Once we got in the bluebonnets we saw trails upon trails of where people had been walking to take pictures, so apparently the owner must know about this and not mind. I had to bribe Jayda with I-Keee! (ice cream) to take good pictures. Luckily it worked and we got some really cute ones. It was a really fun day and I would definitely recommend this festival to everyone. They also have a Scarecrow Festival in the fall at Chapell Hill and I'm betting that one would be really good too.

Our favorite booth at the festival. Mom and I both bought pieces from this girl, she does a great job painting bluebonnets!

Look at that little smirk!

Easter Fun!

I first have to start out with a big thanks to my dad for coming to help us work on our yard last weekend. We worked in the yard for 2 solid days and it looks much better. The main project was redoing the front flowerbed. It used to have ugly trees, stumps, dead bushes and tons of weeds in it and now all of that is gone. We tore everything up and planted 3 sago palms and 2 aloe vera plants instead and put bricks out to line the flowerbed. It looks soooo much better. In addition we trimmed down lots of bushes and tree limbs so overall the yard is looking much prettier. Thanks Dad!!!!

Our pretty new flowerbed.

All happy after bathtime.

Now, on to easter weekend! Well, I don't know what is going on with miss Jayda, but apparently she likes to get sick for the holidays! She got sick over Valentines, and again got sick at Easter! We still don't know what she had (besides a fever, coughing and runny nose), but she defintely had something. I felt so bad for her because we were out of town and had lots of stuff planned to do. She was such a trooper throughout the whole trip considering how she felt. Lots of benadryl and tylenol and she did pretty good. We started our Easter vacation a little early at 6 a.m. on wednesday morning. Jacob found out the day before that he needed to go on a business trip to Dallas and stay for the night. Instead of flying up there on his own, Jayda and I decided to drive with him and have some fun in Dallas. Thankfully my parents were able to watch Harley and Nina, so we dropped them off promptly at 8 a.m. on wednesday morning then headed on to Dallas. Jacob dropped us off at the hotel and headed to the law firm where he needed to do some work. Jayda and I had fun hanging out at the hotel. We even went across the street to the Dallas YMCA and Jayda went to play while I worked out. That evening we met our friends Jude and Lindsay at the Iron Cactus for dinner. The food was delicious and it was great catching up with our friends! On thursday morning Jayda and I dropped Jacob off at work and went over to the Dallas World Aquarium. I'd heard this place was really cool, so I figured while we were in Dallas we might as well see what it was all about. It did turn out to be really cool with an awesome rainforest and a neat aquarium. The only problem was that there were a TON of school kids there on field trips and you could barely move around to see everything. After less than an hour me and Jayda left because mommy could not handle the madness any longer! It was a neat place though and maybe we can go back sometime when it's not so crowded. After the aquarium I was wanting to do something a little more low key, so we went over to the Dallas Galleria. Jayda and I got some lunch at La Madeline, watched the ice skaters and then played at the huge playland in the mall.

On thursday afternoon we left Dallas and drove back to huntsville for the weekend. We spent the first 2 nights at Jaocb's parents house. Most of friday we spent outside riding the 4 wheeler, looking at new baby calves and new baby ducks, feeding cows, and just hanging out.

Jayda and Caitlyn riding Fuego. This was Jayda's first time to ride a horse and she LOVED it! I think a pony may be in store soon for miss Jayda...

Cole and Caitlyn were surprised on Friday with 6 new baby ducks for Easter. They were so cute! Jayda kept wanting to hold them, but then she would squeeze a little too hard.

Feeding the cows some cubes.

On saturday we went to my parents house for the rest of the weekend. Jayda took several long naps on saturday trying to catch up from doing so much and being sick. After her naps we did some practice easter egg hunts in the front yard.

We also dyed some eggs. Quite the experience with a 1 1/2 year old!

On sunday morning Jayda woke up to 2 easter baskets from the easter bunny. She got toys, a dvd, candy, stuffed animals and 2 dresses!

Jayda's easter basket from Oma, so cute!

On Easter morning a severe thunderstorm/downpour came through Huntsville. We weren't sure if we would even make it to church, but eventually we did get there about 20 minutes late. Jayda fell asleep in church (the benadryl was knocking her out), so we didn't end up getting any cute Easter pictures of her or us all dressed up! I was so disappointed, but oh well! That afternoon we went over to Jacob's paretns house for a big lunch and easter egg hunt. All of the food was soooo good and Jayda had a blast hunting for easter eggs.

Jayda decided to destroy the pretty easter eggs that we had colored instead of eat her lunch, how nice of her!

Family Easter picture (the only one we got!).

We had such a wondeful weekend haning out with everyone, it was so nice! Thankfully Jayda woke up feeling much better this morning and has been taking a nap for almost 4 hours now! Poor thing has a lot of catching up to do! Hope you all had a great Easter!

My pretty little pink princess and Children's Musuem Fun!

So yesterday I decided to have some fun with miss Jayda and dress her up. Her adorable outfit is courtesy of my mom and aunt cheryl, thanks guys! She had sooooo much fun dressing up, I think we are going to be doing this a lot more often now! Today we went to the Children's Musuem of Houston with our playgroup and Jayda had a BLAST! They just reopened it with new exhibits and a new tot spot and it was great! It's great for all ages of kids and every single kid in there has so much fun! Enjoy the pics!

2 Weeks in Review!

Well, let me just tell you this post is going to have A LOT of pictures in it! We have been busy, busy bees! So busy that I didn't even have time to post my update last week. Therefore today I'm recapping 2 weeks and man have they been busy. We've had lots of visitors stay with us, birthday parties, mini getaway trips, tearful goodbyes, and 2 zoo trips to say the least. I will let all of the pictures tell you what's been going on at the Paschals!

First thing is last week Tara and I took the girls to take some pictures in the beautiful bluebonnets. I'm hoping to get some realllly good ones when we go to the Bluebonnet Festival in a few weeks.

Posing in the bluebonnets, pretty girl!

Sweet girls in the bluebonnets!

Last saturday night Tara, my friend, threw her husband Joe an awesome 30th birthday party! She made all different types of fondue and everything was delicious! My favorite was the marshmellows dipped in oreos with the chocolate turtle fondue, yummo!

The birthday guy and his family, so cute!

Jayda discovered that she does NOT like Elmo at all at Joe's party!

Last sunday Jayda got to wear one of her Easter dresses that she got from Oma. She knew she looked cute and was dancing all over the playroom before church.

Thanks Oma for the pretty dress!

On sunday afternoon me, Jayda, Tara and Kiersten headed out to Waller to visit Oma and Oupa at their farmhouse. The girls had a ton of fun playing at the barn. We went into town to the farmers market and got some yummy fruit and stopped on the way home for delicious bbq!

On Monday night we had Scott, Michelle, and Riley over for a going away dinner. Well, they're not actually gone forever, just for about 8 months, but still. We had a very sad week last week telling them goodbye, but we know that they will be back, thank goodness!! Jayda gave Riley a photo album full of pictures of the 2 of them together and Riley gave Jayda her baby doll to babysit while she is gone. We miss you guys already soooo much!!!

All of us with our girlies, going away dinner for the Sanders.

Jayda was helping Riley open her going away cards, sniff, sniff.

We had dinner on tuesday night too, so hard to say goodbye...

Ri-ri left on wednesday, so Jayda went over to play for the morning.

Oupa came into town on Tuesday afternoon and stayed with us until Thursday afternoon. We had a lot of fun while he was here! On wednesday afternoon we went to the zoo with Oupa.

Thursday morning Oupa took Jayda to the mall so that she could pick something out at Claires. She ended up getting a Little Mermaid camera and a butterfly earring and necklace holder.

On friday Aunt Cheryl came to visit us and took us out to lunch. We had a lot of fun going to lunch and Jayda loves her pearls and Easter bunny, thanks Aunt Cheryl!

Jayda excited to be wearing her new outfit.

Daddy was feeling a little left out since we got to do all kinds of fun stuff this week, so on saturday morning we decided to go back to the zoo so that Daddy could take part in the fun! We actually went ahead and bought a zoo membership for the year seeing that Jayda had already been to the zoo 3 times in the past month! Tara and Kiersten also met us at the zoo and the girls had a blast together!

On saturday night Oma came to stay with us for the night. We cooked fajitas and had a yummy dinner. Sunday morning Oma babysat while Jacob and I went to church and then after Jayda woke up from her nap we went out to the dog show in Pearland. Klint and Brandy asked us to come out and we're so glad we went. It was really neat watching the frisbee dogs. Jayda even got to throw the frisbee for Miles, Klint and Brandy's puppy, a few times!

Whew, I think you are up to date on all of our adventures! Hope everyone has a great week!
