These first few pictures were back on Memorial Day at Jacob's house. We had a bon fire out there and had a ton of fun. I thought these pictures were just too cute!
Memorial Day '08. Daddy and Jayda, see any resemblance??
On the tractor with Nannna, Pawpaw and Caitlyn.
Then, this past weekend for the 4th we invited everyone over for burgers and hotdogs. Jayda's cousins came early that afternoon so she got to play with them a lot. We took everyone to our neighborhood pool and went swimming. It turned out to be great because we went right after it rained, so no one was at the pool. It was like our own little private pool! That night we walked down to the bayou in our neighborhood and watched a great fireworks show. Since we aren't in the city limits they allow people to do their own fireworks in our neighborhood, so they were going off everywhere around us. It was pretty cool except for the fact that they then continued going off all night long!
Jayda on her first 4th of July. She didn't want to wear her bow, but she did want Caitlyn's headband, so they switched.
Us at the pool on the 4th.
Caitlyn feeding Jayda. Jayda kept biting the spoon, so Caitlyn figured out that if she pushed her head back she could pull the spoon out. Too cute!
Yogurt face! Yogurt is Jayda's favorite new food.
Some of the gang on the 4th watching the fireworks in our neighborhood.
The day after the 4th I surprised Jacob for his birthday by taking him to stay at the Inn at the Ballpark hotel downtown. I had also made dinner reservations at Vic and Anthony's. Our food was amazing and it was so fun to get all dressed up and fancy since we never do anything like that. We had so much fun! Klint and Brandy met us at the hotel and then we all went to Dave and Busters. Justin and Lourdes met us there later. We had a great time playing all the games and getting to hang out. Big thanks to Pawpaw, Nanna, and Oma for taking care of Jayda so that Jacob and I could get away for the night! We appreciate you all so much!

Then, on Jacob's actual birthday on Sunday both of my parents were at our house to celebrate. We went swimming that afternoon and enjoyed some delicious cookie cake.
All of us on Jacob's birthday with his cookie cake, yum!
