Jayda cut her hair!!!

Jayda finally decided to cut her hair! She has been growing it out since 2nd grade! She woke up one morning and said she wanted to cut it. She had the day off of school so I called the hair salon and we were able to get her in that day. I’m still not sure what made her decide to do it, but it sure looks cute! She ended up getting 9 inches cut off!

The before pic!

Chopping it off.
Blow drying it.
All done and curled!
Soooo pretty, I love it!!

Potty Training P!

Well, it was finally time to potty train Miss Paisley!  I had tried a couple times over the summer but we were really just too busy for it to work.  We needed a good chunk of time to stay home but with all of the girls home in the summer they did not want to stay home for days on end to potty train Paisley.  Once they started back to school I knew it was time.  It took her a couple of days to catch on but she sure did!  We are still working on going #2 on the potty but she has #1 down.  Woo-hoo!!
Potty time!
She had a rough few days trying to figure everything out.
We read this book over and over and over in the bathroom.  It sure seemed to help her!
We spent a lot of time outside while we were potty training.
And with no pants on! Haha!

Fall Fun!

We have already done several fun things this fall and it's only the beginning of October!
Paisley and I took Oma to lunch at La Madeline in The Woodlands for her birthday.  We went to the mall afterwards to do a little shopping and got Oma a cookie cake, per Paisley's request.

Last week we went to open house at Faith Lutheran.  Avery read me this book called Farm Friends in her classroom.  She did great and read me the whole thing!

She colored this rabbit and wrote these sentences underneath.

And she had this painting in her art portfolio.  So pretty!

Her bowl of apples painting was hanging outside in the hallway.  She did such a good job!

Sydney wasn't with us, but I took this picture of her drawing at school.  It's really good!

Jayda had her first band concert last week! She was excited to see her friends Essence and Anna at the concert.

So happy to see Gabby!

I was Jayda's band buddy during the concert and got to play her clarinet too!

Oma and Jayda after the concert.  She did an awesome job.  I was very impressed!

Oma took Sydney and Avery to the butterfly festival here in town this weekend.

They had fun getting their faces painted and doing butterfly crafts.

Astros Game!

The girls had been asking to go to an Astro's game all summer, so we finally decided to take them down to one on Labor Day.  Jacob had the day off work and the girls were out of school.  Plus, all kids were allowed to run the bases on the field after the game so we thought it would be a good one to go to.
Pretty girls at the game.
They had to wait in line for quite a while to run the bases, but it was worth it!
We went to lunch at the Westin hotel after the game.
The girls always like to go here to eat.  Such a fun day!

First Days of School & Dance 2018!

Jayda started 6th grade at the end of August at Huntsville Intermediate.  Sydney and Avery started 3rd grade and Kindergarten at the beginning of September at Faith Lutheran.
Ready for her first day of school!
Headed to 6th grade!
Avery was very excited (and a little nervous) to start Kindergarten!

Little kindergartener!
Sydney was ready for 3rd grade!
So excited to get back to school and see her friends!
First day of school 2018!

Sydney ready to start school in Mr. Arnold's class.
On the same day the big girls started back to school, Paisley went to her first day of diaper dance class.

She loved her dance class!

A few days later Avery had her first day of dance too.  She is in the mini acro class and loves it!

Sydney started her primary acro class later that week too.

Our 35th Birthdays!

Jacob and I both celebrated our 35th birthdays over the summer.  We celebrated Jacob's birthday on July the 4th with his side of the family and went to lunch with Oma and Oupa on July 6th, his actual birthday.  We went to La Toretta on Lake Conroe to celebrate my birthday on August 11th.

Lourdes made these awesome cookies for Jacob's birthday.

And we got a yummy birthday cake.
We met my parents at Farmhouse for lunch on Jacob's birthday.
Daddy's girls.
We also went to Jacob's office to celebrate his birthday with everyone up there.
They were doing airbrush tattoos and balloons at La Toretta.  Avery and I got matching sea turtle tattoos.

The big girls got matching dolphin tattoos.

Avery got a balloon crown too!

I was so excited to get an Apple watch for my birthday from Jacob and the girls, I love it!
We went to Brio for dinner on my birthday.
Family pic!
After dinner we went back to the hotel to play putt-putt golf.  The girls loved it!  Paisley especially loved the little bitty golf clubs that were just her size!

We enjoyed a yummy birthday cake back at the hotel.
One last swim with Oupa before heading back home.  We had such a fun weekend at La Toretta.  Perfect way to end our summer!
