Time for an update!

So, it is definitely time to put up some more recent pictures! I would have done this a lot sooner, however our computer broke. We finally just figured out it is the monitor (on the laptop) that has gone out, so for time being we have rigged the laptop up to a t.v. screen so that it can still be used. And, if you see lots of typos or misplaced pictures or titles in this post, it is because I can only see part of this screen! Jacob is still shopping around for a new computer, since this is not too cool, so if you have any suggestions on new laptops, fill us in! Hopefully we find a new one soon!

Anywho, not too much has been going on around here lately. One big thing was Sydney turned 3 months old on May 11th! I took her to get her pictures done at Portrait Innovations a few days after that and I think they turned out SO cute! I also got some done of Sydney and Jayda in matching ladybug outfits(courtesy of Oma) so that was super cute too. The little S is doing well and still teething like crazy. She will chomp down on your finger for as long as you will let her! She also likes to chew on teething rings, but she can't hold them yet. We recently got her a high chair/booster seat combo to put in one of our chairs at the dinner table, so it is fun to have her sit in there with us like a big girl. She doesn't last too long before she wants out of it, but I'm sure she will get more used to it. She is still not a big fan of the carseat and if she is in there and becomes hungry or tired, LOOK OUT because she is going to scream her little tiny head off! She is still cooing and smiling a lot and almost rolled over from her back to her tummy yesterday for the first time! She didn't quite do it, but I think it will be any day now. She was laying on her playmat and got tired of it and started fussing. She started arching her back because that's what she does when she gets mad and nearly flipped herself over! It was pretty funny because of course crazy momma had to run and get the video camera because I thought I might be able to catch the moment of video tape and poor little thing was just crying and wanted to be picked up while I just kept on video taping her. I could tell Jayda was like, mommy what in tne world are you doing? So, finally I turned off the video camera and picked little bit up. Maybe another day!

big news with Jayda is that she is now officially done with the paci! Yay, I wasn't sure how we would ever get rid of that one! It wasn't that big of a deal (to me) because she would only get it when she went to sleep, but I knew it was time to get rid of it. So, when we went to huntsville one of the last weekends we took Jacob's truck to get some stuff worked on at the car dealership. We accidently left the paci in his truck, so for nap time that day we didn't have it. I was able to put her to sleep without it, so I decided that would be a great time to "lose" the paci. So, after that we just told her that the paci got lost at the car dealership, but that it was ok because big girls don't need pacis. She asked for it for a few days, but since then has been perfectly fine without it. Yay!! She does still cuddle up to her teddy bear and blanket when she goes to sleep and has been doing really well! Also, my parents just recently gave Jayda my old bedroom suit from when I was little. We brought it to our house and set it up and Jayda just started sleeping in her new big girl bed about a week ago! It's a twin size bed and she loves it! Last weekend we went to Target and picked out a new comforter set, so she has been very excited about all of this. Even better, she sleeps really well in her new bed, so that is super exciting!! I think that is about all the excitement around here for now!

Sweet sisters! Jayda said we had to take a picture of them because they were mathcing!

We went to Ashley Furniture to shop for Oma a new couch, looks like we found her one, haha!!

So I only thought Jayda looked like her daddy! Now, I realize that Sydney is his mini-me! How can this be??

Fun in the Sun!

Wow! I can not believe how hot it is already getting outside! It is so crazy that it already feels like summer time and it is only the beginning of May! Because it has been so hot I decided to pull Jayda's little baby pool out for her to play in the other day. She was SO excited about it! She loved splashing around in it and running and jumping into it. Too bad she got a skinned up knee from running on the drive way to jump in! We may have to invest a little better baby pool since the one she has now requires me to blow it up everytime she uses it because I think it must have a slow leak. So, that is not too fun for mommy! It's fun to have something outside here at the house that she can play in because most of the time we have to stay home so that Sydney can nap during the day. Jayda also loves playing in her Barbie Jeep! She drives it around the driveway and pretends to fill it up with gas at her pretend gas station. It's pretty funny, plus it entertains her for a while!

Last saturday we all went to the Fishing Rodeo. Our neighborhood was putting on the event and Jayda had lots of fun. She had never really fished before so Jacob showed her how to put the worms on the pole and all that fun stuff. She was really freaked out by the worms, but kept wanting to hold them. She is so silly! She fished with daddy for a whole 2 minutes before she was on to do something else. They had a big bounce house at the event and a playground, so those were all much more fun than fishing. Don't think Jayda's gonna be a big fisher-woman! After the fishing rodeo we brought the girls home to take naps. Once they woke up we decided to head to Huntsville to look for Jacob a new truck. His truck was getting pretty old, had well over 100,000 miles on it and was starting to mess up a lot. So, we thought it was time for him to trade it in. He wanted to find a used 4 door Ford truck. Luckily we found just the perfect truck for him at Hillcrest Ford in Huntsville. It's a silver 2009 F-150 and we absolutely love it! It's got a whole second row in it so we can all ride in his truck now (we couldn't all fit in his single cab truck anymore!) It is so pretty and looks just like Jacob! And, to top it all off, we found me a new ride too! I got a white and tan 2008 explorer! It's really pretty and is the Eddie Bauer edition, so it's got all the fun upgrades, plus a sunroof which I love! I love my car so much and I am so happy that we found it. I think we got really good deals on both of the cars and we got a good inerest rate, so that is all super exciting! Funny enough, my car had just been put out on the lot for sale the day before we bought it. Guess it was just meant to be!

Little Sydney is doing pretty good these days, despite the fact that her Jayda seem to have a little cold. They both have the sneezes and are running low grade fevers. Hopefully it will soon pass and good thing is they neither one seem to be feeling to terribly bad. Sydney is definitely teething these days! She is constantly chewing on her little hands and drools all the time. I just had to start putting bibs on her because she was soaking her clothes. Guess she's going to be getting her teeth in early just like her sister! She has also learned how to blow bubbles, so she does that all the time! She is SO sweet and we just love her so much. She smiles at us all the time and especially loves her daddy and her sister! Sydney definitely does not like tummy time. I thought by this age she would like to start going on her tummy. But, evidently that is not the case. Everytime I put her on her playmat tummy down she has a fit and hates it! I remember Jayda liking being on her tummy all the time, but I guess Sydney will be different in that department. She does like laying on her back on the playmat and looking around, so that will work for now. She also loves watching t.v. We usually have it on cartoons because of Jayda, so Sydney will just stare at the t.v. and watch cartoons. It's pretty cute and is fine with me because it entertains her, at least for a little while. I think that's about all the excitement around here, for now atleast!

Jayda splashing around and having a blast in her pool!

Running and jumping in, before her accident!

Riding around in her jeep, so fun!

Jayda had a playdate with her friends Jane and Riley last friday. The girls had so much fun together!

Fun Weekend!

This past weekend Lolo came in town for a visit. We were SO excited to see her! Me and the girls picked her up from the airport on friday morning and then headed to huntsville for the weekend. We thought it would be fun to take Lauren to huntsville to hangout and see our family. I'm so glad we did because we had a great weekend! On friday night Jacob's parents grilled us some delicious chicken! We had a great dinner and had fun catching up! On saturday Lauren and I woke up bright and early and went running in the avenues and around the Sam campus, stopped by my parents house to chat with them, and then went to get a yummy Starbucks on the way home! Saturday afternoon we went shopping at Target and found some really cute stuff. It was so fun to get out and go shopping since it very rarely, or pretty much never happens. Jacob took care of Jayda and my mom watched Sydney while we ran out! On saturday night we went to eat dinner at The Farmhouse Cafe. Andrea and baby Sara met us there along with Jayda's cousins Cole and Caitlyn. As always the food was great and we had fun! On sunday we got up early to run together one last time and then played out at Jacob's parents house for the morning. My mom made us lunch that afternoon so we went over to their house to hangout until Lauren's flight left later that day. Kristi also came over to have lunch with us. After lunch us girls and Jayda went to jump on the neighbor's trampoline and then went to get yummy snocones to cool off. We had so much fun playing and relaxing this weekend! Can't wait for you to come back Lolo!!

Trying to teach Sydney how to chew on the baby spoon since she's teething.

"There we go, I got it!"

"Ewwww Mommy, I don't think I like this so much!"

Jayda wanted to take a picture with her sister, as usual. Sydney drooling like crazy, as usual!

Sydney @ 2 months & Flower Girl Pics!

I can not believe that little miss Sydney is already 2 months old! She had her first round of shots done last thursday. Shots are always so hard because they just hurt so bad and there is nothing you can do for them! Sydney made it through the shots with Jayda standing right beside her telling her that everything was ok. That night was pretty rough I guess because Sydney was not feeling good from the shots, so I decided to go ahead and give her some tylenol. Once she finally fell asleep after, oh say after a couple of hours of crying, she slept all night long. And, I have now come to realize that the little bit has already started teething! Oh no, here we go again! Jayda started teething early also and got her first tooth at 5 months. I am SO not excited about this as teething really stinks!! Sweet girl almost constantly has her hands in her mouth. At first I thought, oh, maybe she's just trying to find her thumb. But, today I stuck my finger in her mouth to rub on her gums and she started cooing and smiling so big at me because it felt so good to her little gums! So, here we go with all that! At least once she can start holding things I will give her little baby spoons to chew on to relieve the pain since that worked really well with Jayda. Besides the teething, S is doing really well. She talks and coos a lot and still loves for people to talk to her. She will almost always smile at you if you start talking to her. Oh, and she laughed for the first time the other night. Jacob got home and came over to see her and he started talking to her and smiling, like usual. She smiled back really big at him and laughed! It was the sweetest thing! She hasn't done it again since then, but I'm sure she will start laughing more soon. Go figure she would laugh for the first time at daddy, not mommy who she is with all day long. Funny enough Jayda smiled for the first time at Jacob also! Those girls have a special thing for their daddy! Sydney also loves to watch Jayda. She just stares at her and watches everything she does and loves when Jayda talks to her. I'm sure she can not wait to start running around doing everything that Jayda does!

Sweet little Sydney after getting her first round of shots @ 2 months.

Jayda wanted her picture taken with Sydney, of course!

And there's the little teething munchkin!

This past sunday Jayda was one of the flower girls in my cousin Shiara's wedding. She has been so excited about being the flower girl and she finally got to do it this weekend. She did a great job and loved every minute of it. Shiara's wedding was so beautiful and everything was so nice! Jayda had a blast at the reception running around with all of the other little girls. Congrats Shiara and Josh we are SO happy for you two!

Practicing at the rehearsal on friday night.

Birthday Party and Bluebonnets!

We had a fun and busy weekend! On saturday afternoon we went to Cecilia's 2nd birthday party at Ree and Daniel's new house in The Woodlands. They have recently done a lot of work to their house and it looked amazing! The party was so much fun! They had a bounce house set up for the kiddos and Jayda of course loved that! She barely came out of it to eat and all of the girls were still playing on it after the sun went down! She had so much fun playing with her cousins Cecilia and Molly! We were so glad we were able to make it to Cecilia's party and watch her open all of her great gifts!

Sweet girls laying in Sydney's crib together. Sydney's crib is actually more like a play pen, for Jayda!

Sydney all ready to par-tay!

The pretty cakes! Cecilia's cake was the Elmo one and then we were also celebrating Aunt Debbie's birthday.

Jayda ready to ride the "rollercoaster".

She absolutely loved this thing! I'm thinking we may need to get one of these. She could entertain herself for hours!

Cousins in the bounce house, too much fun!

On sunday afternoon we headed out to Waller to Oma and Oupa's farm. We got some great pictures of the girls in the bluebonnets in their front yard. Thank you Oupa for getting everything looking great for us to come and visit! Jayda loves going out to their farm and helping Oupa. She helped Oupa feed the fish and cows! We had a great afternoon hanging out with Oma and Oupa!
