Fun Fall Festivites!

Well fall seems to be in full swing, despite the yucky, rainy, hot weather! We have been doing lots of fun activites lately and we're gearing up to do even more fun stuff throughout the rest of October!

Two weekends ago we went to Jayda's little friend's 3rd birthday party at a park by our house. The park that the party was held at happened to be where we met her friend, so that was pretty neat. The girls had so much fun at the party playing at the playground, riding around in someone's wagon (not sure who it belonged to), playing in the sand at the volleyball court, and eating cupcakes! Oma came in town for a short visit on saturday so she got to go the party with us and hang out on sunday for a while.

Who needs the cake when you have icing?? Enjoying the top of her cupcake at the party.

Oma and Jayda last weekend.

Last wednesday we went to Joe's Crab Shack for playgroup. The moms got to sit around and talk while all the kiddos played on the playground and ran around like crazy. We had a lot of fun and it's a great place to take the kids! Jayda kept running inside to the restaraunt (we were sitting outside on the patio so we could watch the little ones) even though she wasn't supposed to. I kept having to chase after her and pull her back outside. One time I ran inside to get her, for the 100th time and I didn't see her right away. All of a sudden I heard a little voice say "Hey mama!!". I turned around and there she was hiding in the booth with her little friend who she had brought inside with her. It was pretty funny so I just had to get a picture. Little turkey!

Jayda playing in the tunnel at Joe's Crab Shack. She thought this was the funniest thing!

Jayda and Thomas being mischevious at playgroup, can ya tell?

This past weekend my mom came to stay with us to do the Race for the Cure in downtown houston on saturday morning. Unfortunately this year I could not run with her (boo) since I'm prego, so I went along with her for moral support. As usual we had a lot of fun and mom even improved her time from last year by 15 seconds, way to go mom!!! Jayda and Jacob came up to meet us after the race was over and we walked all around and got lots of fun, free stuff. We always have a great time at these races, I can't wait to participate again next year! Later that evening we went to check out our neighborhood's annual Harvest Festival. We didn't go last year, so this was our first time to go and we weren't sure what it would really be like. It ended up being really awesome, especially for the kids. They were giving train rides, had 4 bounce houses set up, booths, bake sales, concerts, rock climbing wall, petting zoo, camel rides plus lots more! Jayda had so much fun and we were so mad we only went up there with 1 hour left! Next year we'll have to get out much earlier!

Sunday was Oma's birthday! I made us chinese sundae for lunch after church that we all enjoyed and then we celebrated with homemade carrot cake for desert! We hope you had a great birthday Oma!

And Another One Makes 2!!

2 gilrs that is!!! We found out yesterday that we have another little girl on the way! We are so excited to have another little girl around and so happy that Jayda will have a little sister. Jadya is super excited about the little miss and can not wait to hold her, change her, feed her, you name it! Her name will probably be Sydney Anne Paschal, but we still have to decide on that for sure. She weighed in yesterday at a whopping 14 oz., almost a whole pound! Everything looked really good on the ultrasound so we are so very thankful for that. Now we just have 19 more weeks till we get to meet this precious little girl!

It's Tinkerbell!

Well, we found Jayda a Tinkerbell costume yesterday. Funny enough, I happen to see it at the grocery store and I thought it was super cute. She'd been saying she wants to be Tinkerbell for Halloween, so I figured we'd go ahead and get her costume a little early. She absolutely loves it and can not wait until halloween to get "More CANDYYY!!!" She is so excited! We did a trial run in the Tinkerbell costume last night and she was cheesing it up for the camera, so I just had to share!

A Few Recent Pix!

Well, not a lot to report around here lately. I wanted to put up a few pictures I've taken recently since I haven't posted in a while, but there's not really anything to talk about in this post. We do have our ultrasound next tuesday to find out the sex of the baby, so that's probably the most excitement we're going to have around here for a while! I am looking forward to the cooler weather that should be coming in tomorrow, that is going to be SO nice! Hope y'all have a great week!

Swinging at the park, her favorite thing to do these days. She likes to yell "Go fast mama!"

Not Too Much!

Not a whole lot has been going on around here lately. Since school started back and the pool is closed it seems to have gotten much more quiet around here. It's been nice though. The temperatures are finally cooling off so we have been going to lots of parks around here. We even went to the zoo the other day and it was SO nice because all the kids were back in school and there was hardly anyone there. I love it when it's like that! Besides just hanging out we recently joined a playgroup through our neighborhoods women's association and we are really liking that. We meet every wednesday morning. All of the other kiddos in the playgroup are 2 also, so it works out really nice. Minus the fact that they are all 2, which means they are all learning how to share and play nicely at the same time, so it does make for some interesting moments. But, it's great for Jayda to get to play with other kids. We also just started the ladies bible study at church on tuesday mornings. They have a bible class for Jayda too, so we both go to class at the same time. Yesterday was the first day and it went really well. I'm really looking forward to the Beth Moore study of Esther on how to be a strong woman. We also just got back from huntsville on monday and were there for the weekend. We dog sat for my parents dogs and stayed out at Jacob's parents house. It was so nice to see all of our family and friends and just hang out, play, and have lots of good food (esp. the deserts!). Baby P is getting bigger and bigger and we should find out what he or she is in about 2-3 weeks. We can not wait to find out! Nothing else really is going on. I'll put up a few random pics that I've taken of Jayda recently.

Spraying the dogs with the water hose. She thought this was hilarious and the border collies loved it!

This girl still LOVES the water!

Dancing with the water hose, and still spraying the dogs.

Riding the tractor with daddy. She had been scared of the tractor for a long time because of the loud noise and this time we went home she asked to go ride on it. Now she loves it! Isn't it funny how 2 yr. olds can change their mind completely about something in about 1/2 a second!

Good Times With The Cousins!

Last week 2 of Jayda's cousins, Cole and Caitlyn, came to stay with us from Monday to Thursday. We all had a blast together and did a lot of cool stuff. After I picked them up on monday morning we came home and had lunch, then headed off to swim at the neighborhood pool. Jayda had so much fun swimming and playing with her cousins. After the pool Jayda took a nap and then we went to Chuck E. Cheese to play. That night we enjoyed tacos for dinner and brownies for desert, yummy! On tuesday morning we woke up and got ready to head off to the Children's Musuem downtown. We got there around 10:30 and stayed until about 2:30. The kids all had so much fun and Jayda did a lot of the bigger kid stuff that she hadn't done before since her cousins were there with her. After the musuem we got some ice cream and ran by Jacob's office to say hi. The kids had fun checking out Jacob's office. After we got home Brandy took Cole and Caitlyn to their house to stay the night. Jayda came home and took a really long nap! Klint and Brandy brought the kiddos back over to our house on wednesday evening and I had cooked us all dinner. So, we enjoyed dinner and then got ready to go to the boys playoff softball game (Jacob, Klint and Justin all play on a league in our neighborhood). We all went over to the ballpark and played on the playground for a while before the game started and then watched the game. Unfortunately Jacob got stuck at work that night until 10 p.m., so he didn't make the game. They won the game and the finals are actually tomorrow night! On thursday morning we got up and Cole and Caitlyn got all of their stuff packed up and got ready. We then went over to the galleria and did some ice skating. Unfortunately you have to be at least 3 to ice skate (2 years old won't cut it), so Jayda and I couldn't skate. Cole and Caitlyn did really well and really had fun. Caitlyn skated for a straight 2 hours!! Jayda wanted to skate so bad and kept going over to the ice and touching it and trying to put her feet out on it to pretend that she was skating, poor thing, we'll have to go again next year! After all the ice skating everyone had worked up a big appetite so we went to eat at the Rainforest Cafe. Justin, Lourdes, and Jacob all came to meet us for lunch so that was really fun! Lunch was delicious and we had a great time! That afternoon we headed to Spring to drop off the cousins and came back home! What a fun week! We can't wait for you guys to come back and stay again, we had so much fun!

On saturday night we met Jacob's parents for dinner at The Inn at the Ballpark and went to the Astros game with them. It was a really good game and the Astros won.

Getting all ready to race!

And she's off! She has been wanting to do this for so long but has either been too little or too scared. She finally did it for the first time on saturday and loved it!

In other exciting news, I am happy to announce that we are expecting baby # 2! Most of you already know about this, but for those of you who don't, there ya go! I am almost 16 weeks along and we will find out the sex of the baby in about a month. We can not wait to find out what we are having! Everything has gone really well so far. I was a little nauseas the first trimester and extremely tired, but that has all passed. I still get tired, probably from chasing after Jayda more than anything, but that's par for the course. We've had one ultrasound done around 8 weeks and things looked good then. I will keep everyone updated on the progress and let you know when we find out what we're having!

In addition, we have more exciting news around here! Jayda is almost totally potty trained!!!!! HALLELUJAH!! I've still been putting her in diapers when we go out of the house and when she sleeps (in case of accidents), but all other times she wears panties. She is doing so good! Of course she does have some accidents but I'd say she goes in the potty 80-90% of the time. Pretty good for a just barely 2 year old!I am SO proud of her and so happy that she is well on her way! Changing 2 year old poopy diapers was not my thing anymore! Thankfully she has cooperated with the plan and it has definitely been a family effort (daddy included), let me tell ya, whew!

Summer Happenings with Jayda!

We have been doing lots of things with Jayda lately and I feel like time is just flying by. I wanted to post about some random things recently before time goes on and I forget to do it. First thing is, Chuckee Cheese. I took Jayda there last week and she absolutely loved it! There were so many fun things for her to do there and they even had a toddler spot! It is definitely one of our new favorite spots!

Riding the horse at Chuckee's.

Jayda has been taking her baby around with her everywhere these days. The other day we were going to the pool and she was adamant that we take the baby with us swimming. So, she took the baby's clothes off and took it swimming with her. She had so much fun swimming with the baby and I thought it was too cute not to take a picture!

Dunking the baby under the water and bringing it back up for air!

Last saturday night my parents came into town to take me out for dinner for my birthday. They took us out to Taste of Texas and it was amazing!! The food there was SO good. Everything we tried was delicious! My favorite things there were the salad bar (huge and delicious!), the balsamic vinegarette on the salad bar, the steak, and the snickers pie! I can't say enough how good everything was. If you've never been there it's a great place to go to celebrate something special like a birthday, anniversary, graduation, etc. We had so much fun at dinner and all enjoyed everything. Thanks so much mom and dad for taking us out!

The other day Jayda and I went over to feed the turtles at Pecan Park. She loves to feed the turtles! The turtles were super hungry when we fed them and there tons of them swarming the water to get the crackers Jayda threw in. After we fed the turtles she played for a while on the playground.

"Cheeeese Mommy!"

Yesterday we got Jayda a new pet fish. It's a Beta fish and Jayda named it Bogart. She loves to feed him and watch him swim around.
