Sydney Turns 5!

Our sweet Sydney Anne turned 5 last week, on February 11th!  She is growing up so fast!  She has a very fun loving personality and such a big heart. We are so lucky to have such an amazing daughter!  Last Saturday we had princess themed birthday party at Magnolia Lake.  Sydney absolutely loved every minute of it and it truly was the perfect party for her!  The ballroom was decorated beautifully with lights everywhere and the girls had a blast!  When the girls first arrived they went to dress up in their favorite princess dress.  Sydney wanted to be Elsa, of course!

The birthday girl looking so pretty in blue!

Elsa and Tinkerbell were ready to party!!

Miss Jayda didn't want to dress up, but she sure looked cute anyway!

The beautiful cupcake stand.  I loved this...think I may have to get one of these!

The present table.

Princess crown craft table.

Concentrating on their crowns.

Princess work.

So much fun decorating!

Making it just right!

All of the pretty princesses at the party!

Silly face!

And then it was musical chairs time.  The girls loved this game, and played it several times.

Sydney wanted to hold hands with the "real princess". :)

Waiting for the music to start again!

And they're off!

Avery was right in there with them!

The next game was pin the lips on the frog.  This was so cute!

They had fun with this game too!

Princess Sydney all ready for her birthday cupcake!

And then it was time for presents!  She got several more Elsa gifts, so she was pretty thrilled!

Last picture of all the pretty princesses!

Dance party to top off a great birthday party!

At the end of the party the girls released their balloons and made a wish.

Tinkerbell letting her balloon go. ;)

This was so fun!  Sydney had a wonderful 5th birthday party!

Last week we also had a little birthday party for Sydney at school!  I brought pizza and cupcakes in for the class, so they were all pretty excited about that.  Jayda asked me to pick her up from school too so that she could come!  And, Daddy met us up there too!

Sweet girls enjoying the pizza party!

Look who's 5 now!

Giggling girls.

Sara was having fun too.

Such a fun Pre-K class!

On Sydney's actual birthday, last wednesday, I made spghetti for dinner (per Sydney's request) and then we had cookie cake for dessert! Yummy!

Jayda got Sydney a flying fairy for her birthday, and she loved it!

Sydney has such a sweet and tender little soul.  She makes me laugh all the time, and is always worried about others around her.  She especially watches out for her sisters, and her mommy and daddy.  She has become quite artistic lately.  She really enjoys coloring, painting and making crafts.  She is always making something for us and giving it to us.  She is so sweet and even puts money with the drawing or painting that she makes.  I hate taking her money, but she gets very upset if I don't.  So, usually I will accept it, and then put it back in her money jar later. :)  Sydney also loves money!  It's not even like she loves money because she can buy stuff with it, she loves to play with it.  She goes in her room a lot and takes all of her coins out and sorts and counts them.  She even got a $100 bill from Oma and Oupa for her birthday, but doesn't want to buy anything with it!  She just wants to save it!  It boggles my mind that such a young girl would be willing to save her money, instead of spend it right away.  I love that quality about Sydney!  She doesn't do what everyone else is doing, she does it when and how she wants to (Jayda spends her money as soon as she gets it!)  Sydney loves to play with Daisy, and enjoys playing outside.  She is not doing softball this year...last year was pretty rough for Sydney when she played so we decided to give that a break.  It has been good for her.  She enjoys going to Pre-K twice a week now.  Last semester I had her going 3 days a week, but after Christmas I decided to just send her 2 days.  With kindergarten fast approaching, I wanted to spend a little more time with her.  Now she just goes on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so on Wednesday I take her to do something fun, like story time at the library, or to feed the ducks at the duck pond.  I am so thankful for our Wednesdays together.  I can not believe she will be starting kindergarten this August!!!  So sad!!  At least she will be at school with Jayda and Nana, and be able to see them a lot!  Happy 5th birthday, sweet girl!  We love you more than words can say!

Last week was the week of parties!  On thursday we went to Sydney's Valentines party at school.  Avery was so sweet and kept loving on her big sis!

Happy Valentines Day!

The girls got some special treats from Mammaw on Valentines morning before she headed out to Oklahoma!

Avery was pretty excited about all of her goodies on Valentines day!

So hard to believe you'll have two in school next year. It was such a fun, magical 5th birthday party for Sydney. She'll always remember it! Glad we got to be a part of it.

Love,
Oma
