Avery's 2nd Birthday!

We celebrated Avery Mae's 2nd Birthday on December 6, 2014 here at Nana and Pawpaw's house!  Her actual birthday was December 14, but we wanted to have her party a little early so that it wasn't so close to Christmas.  She had a very fun filled Minnie Mouse party!  We put up lots of fun decorations, had a delicious cake made, played outside with bubbles and on the trampoline, and opened lots of fun birthday presents! We are so lucky to be your parents Avery Mae, and we love you so much!  Happy 2nd Birthday!!!

Time to sing Happy Birthday!  She had been singing "Happy bur-day to Avy" for about a month before her party...and is still singing "Happy bur-day to Avy" and it's almost New Years! :)

Avery Mae is such a sweetheart, and a bundle of energy!  She is always on the move and loves doing whatever her big sisters do.  We have nicknamed her the "tornado" because she acts like one around our house.  Wherever she goes she pulls everything out and makes a huge mess!  Whether that be markers, dish towels, hair bows, make up, food in the pantry, and lots of other things.  She is like a little parrot and copies everything we say or ask her to say.  She speaks in almost complete sentences with 4-6 words at a time.  She still loves playing outside, gator rides, and dogs.  She loves Daisy dog and plays with her everyday.  She has recently starting coloring and especially loves coloring with markers.  She doesn't like loud noises, like the tractor or fireworks.  She calls herself Avy-Mae, and she has the cutest little tiny voice ever.  She is very affectionate and loves to give hugs and "tisses".  When she goes to sleep at night she always says "more tiss, more tiss" once I lay her down in bed, so I of course go back in and give her more kisses.  She is such a sweet girl.  She still likes to be rocked and sung to every night at bedtime.  She doesn't fall asleep, but likes to rock with me and listen to me sing (bless her little soul, this Mama does not have a good voice!)  She has become very independent and wants to do everything herself...wash her own hands, buckle her own seat belt, open the doors herself (she recently learned how to open the door knobs, yikes!), put on her own clothes, turn on/off the light switches...you name it, Miss Avy Mae wants to do it herself!  Not too surprising since both of her sisters did the EXACT SAME THING at this age!  She is also quite a sneaky little thing!  A few weeks ago I had made several dozen cupcakes for our church Christmas party.  Avery was in the kitchen and I had stepped down the hallway for a minute.  When I came back into the kitchen I found Avery on the floor with all of the cupcakes that I had made upside down and splattered all over the floor.  She had climbed up on the counter top and pulled all of the cupcakes down on the floor and was saying "tup-take, tup-take, oh-no!"  She is such a little mess!  The next day I caught her pulling a chair up to the refrigerator, with a cup, and getting ice out of the ice maker and filling her cup up with water!  She really thinks she can do anything herself, and she is ONLY 2!  She is very smart and figures things out very quickly.  If something is up high and she wants it, she will just pull something up under her to reach what she wants.  Some things she has used to get where she wants are a chair, a suitcase, her little table, and a rocking horse.  She keeps us on our toes constantly, but we can not imagine our lives without her.  We are so incredibly blessed to be your parents Avery Mae, and we thank God for you everyday!
