It's Almost Christmas?!

Where has the time gone? I can not believe it is almost Christmas! It seems like ever since November hit, time has been flying by for us. And, I don't think it's going to slow down until after the new year. But hey, we sure are having lots of fun getting ready for Christmas. I'm going to have to do a little catch up since I haven't posted in a few weeks, so here we go...

The weekend before Thanksgiving we went to The Woodlands for Riley's 4th birthday party at Pump it Up. The girls had a BLAST and it was so fun getting to see the Ssanders fam again!

That same weekend was also Justin's birthday. To celebrate we went out to a karoke bar on saturday night to have a little fun. Big thanks to Nana and Pawpaw for watching the girls so that we could go out for the night!


The girls were up first...We sang "Sweet Caroline" (Justin put in that request for us to be mean because Lourdes hates that song), and then we had to do "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun".


And then we made the guys go up too! We requested "Family Tradition" for them. We had a great night and had a good laugh watching the boys up there singing!


On sunday we went out to Benihana for Justin's birthday dinner. Everything we had was so good, I love that place!

Justin was teaching Jayda how to eat with chopsticks at dinner. She actually did pretty well and liked eating with them.


And Sydney thought it was hilarious to put 2 soup spoons in her mouth at the same time. She is such a silly girl.

Jayda always likes to get in Sydney's crib when she wakes up and snuggle with her. I was finally able to get a picture of them snuggling.


Doing a little "cooking" in the kitchen on Thanksgiving. This was the only picture I got over Thanksgiving, can't believe it!


After we got home from Thanksgiving we went and picked out a new Christmas tree. Jayda wanted to get one with colored lights, and because I love color too, we went with a colored light tree. We got some new (shatterproof) ornaments this year and they are also very colorful, and just had to get a big purple bow to top it off. We have a very girly tree, go figure.

On December 1st we went to the Sugar Land tree lighting in the Town Square. There were lots of activities for the kids down there and the girls had a blast.

The girls joined in to do a little hoola hooping. Jayda loves to hoola hoop, especially now that she has figured out how to do it.

Unfortunately after our fun night out at the tree lighting Jayda woke up with a stomach virus in the middle of the night. Sydney got it the next day and then so did daddy. It was no fun at all and everyone felt horrible. Jayda was taking care of daddy while he was sick, what a sweet daughter!


After several days of the girls being sick and having no fun, I decided to let them put on their Christmas dresses and take a few pictures with the Christmas tree. They were both in a great mood and gave me lots of smiles, which was so unusual and so nice!

Today I took the girls for a haircut. Jayda was really needing one and while we were there I went ahead and had Sydney's first haircut done. It didn't start out too well because she was not a fan of getting her hair washed. Poor thing was crying and wanted no part of it.


But, after she got her lollipop she was perfectly fine with getting her hair cut.

When we got home they wanted to try on their new Christmas shirts for their picture with Santa tomorrow. Jayda asked me to take a picture of them with their outfits on, so cute!
