Dance Girls & Avery at 9 Months

This poor blog has not been getting much attention lately...I guess that's what happens when you have three kids, life is crazy, you never sleep anymore, oh and you live out in the country where there is hardly an internet connection. At least I've managed to get a few pictures up today, so that's a good thing. :)

Lunch date with Jayda at school.  We try to eat lunch with her on Fridays. :)

Three little munchkins in Oma's bed!

Love these silly sisters so much!

A few weeks ago we went to Brenham to see our niece and nephew, Katie and Blake, get baptized.  We were so happy to be there with them for this.

Lake trip for Labor Day!  The girls had a blast with their cousin Caitlyn!

The big girls started dance for the first time this month!  They are both SO excited about it, and they're doing so good already.  Jayda is taking tap and jazz and Sydney does ballet and tap.  They are supposed to be performing at the Fair on the Square next month so that should be super cute.

Sydney helped me make cupcakes for Nana's classroom last week.  She had to lick the cake beaters and try one after we finished.  She is so silly!  Don't you love the dance outfit she's had on for 2 weeks now?  Haha.

Miss Avery Mae loves Daisy (dog-dog).  Oh my gosh, she gets so excited when she sees her and starts kicking and squealing.  The other day she was having so much fun playing with her. S
he thought it was the best thing ever.

Visiting Jayda again for lunch. We all look forward to this!

Sydney helped me cut up a watermelon then had to give the rinds to Emma.  Sweet girl stood there and watched her eat all of them so that she could pet her afterwards.

We went out to lunch at El Chico after church one Sunday and
there was a lady there making balloons.  The girls were so excited!

Jayda got a ballon crown too. :)

My sweet little ballerina.  She LOVES to wear her dance outfits all the time.

Silly Avery getting into the water bottles at the big girls dance studio.

Jayda and Sydney got into my old dance stuff and had so much fun dressing up.

Avery was following Jayda everywhere and pulling on
her shorts so she could get a bite of ice cream.

I attempted taking Avery's 9 month picture but she was not exactly cooperating.
She immediately started pulling her 9 month sticker off and wanted to eat it.

"Haha Mommy, I got it!"  She is such a ham.

I gave her my camera just so she would leave the sticker on for a moment.

And she got it off again!

I put this little collage together of her.  Silly but true.

Avery is so much fun right now.  She loves to play with her toys, her sisters and Daisy.  She is always into something and crawls all over the house.  She follows us wherever we go.  She likes to pull open cabinets and drawers and pull stuff out.  Avery is still laid back and easy going.  She has 2 teeth now and has been chewing on everything.  She constantly has something in her mouth and is drooling.  I'm guessing she is about to get some more in too.  She eats her baby food very well and really likes the little baby yogurt melts.  Once she gets some more teeth I'll start giving her some more table food.  I'm taking her into the dr. next week for her 9 month check up and getting her 9 month pictures done so I'll have to update this post after that with her stats.  She is such a good baby and still sleeps well for the most part.  She normally takes 2 naps, 1 in the morning and 1 in the afternoon, then goes to sleep at night around 7:30 or 8:00 p.m.  Her teeth have been bothering her lately so she hasn't been sleeping that great but hopefully that will get better.  Avery is wearing a size 3 diaper and 9 month old clothes.  She loves being outside.  If she gets upset all we have to do is take her outside and she will be fine.  She really likes taking rides on the gator too.  It's so cute because she will stand up in your lap and hold onto to the bar in front of her and just look all around.  She is so observant and doesn't miss anything.  She loves the dogs and they will always make her happy as well. Oh, and she says several words now too-"ma-ma", "ba-ba"(bottle), da-da", "na-na", "doh-doh" (dog-dog). We are so thankful for this sweet babe!

Little lady loves to play with big sisters pretend lipsticks.  She always has one of these in her hands.

Avery got into the Tupperware cabinet and started pulling everything out. So much fun for a baby!

And sister helped her pull everything out just for good measure. ;)

First Day of School 2013!

Jayda and Sydney both had their first day of school this past week!  They were so excited about going to school.  Jayda started first grade and Sydney started pre-school for the first time!  They both woke up early that morning, got dressed, ate breakfast and were ready to head out the door.  Jacob took Jayda to school and I took Sydney.  We thought it would be too difficult for us to take both of them, with Avery too.  Jayda did a great job and went straight into her class without any problem.  She had met her teacher, Mrs. Fisher, before so she was excited to see her again.  She already said before the first day that she was the sweetest teacher ever, so I think it's going to be a good year.  Not to mention, her Nana teaches in the classroom next door so she think that's super neat.  Sydney also did great and went into her class and started playing right away.  Her friend Sara is in her class so that is pretty fun for her.  They both were playing when I  left and she wasn't even sad to see me go.  Yay!  I was a little concerned because Sydney hasn't been away from me much.  But, I think now that she is older and more mature it's a bit easier.  I was so proud of her!  By that afternoon she was definitely ready to go home and very worn out.

Jayda all ready for her first day of first grade!
First day of pre-school for Sydney!

Sweet sisters!

Big first grader heading out the door!

Ready for pre-school!!

Jayda sitting at her new first grade desk.  Such a big girl!

Sydney wanted to push Avery into her school.

Love her little Minnie Mouse backpack!

Yay! Sissies are going to school!

Sydney starting playing right away at this fun sorting center.

Playing with her buddy Sara.  Love it.

Me and little bit headed to the grocery store while the big girls were at school.
Can't remember the last time I shopped this peacefully! :)

I caught a little somebody pulling all the books off the bookshelf the other day.  I SO remember the other girls doing the exact same thing.  This WAS Jayda's favorite thing to do when she was little!

The girls love to jump on their trampoline.  So glad we brought it with us!

Jayda was giving rides in the laundry basket last Saturday morning.  Sydney and Avery loved it!

Last weekend was Sam's 1st birthday party.  The girls
had lots of fun dressing each other up at the party!

Little miss Avery Mae went to Sunday School last weekend for the first time.  I stayed in there with her and she did so good.  I thought she was too stinkin' cute in the little chair!

She loved to pat-pat the bible.

There was an article in the newspaper about Jacob starting at his new firm.  Pretty neat.

These silly girls love to play every morning together.  They are so sweet.

We went to meet Jacob for lunch today...and this is what the girls did while we ate.
Such crazy little munchkins!

Moving back home!

Wow!  Can't believe the summer is almost over and school is about to start!  This has been such a crazy busy summer for us.  We've taken several mini vacations, sold our house and moved to Huntsville.  Whew.  I feel like I can hardly keep up with our lives these days.  I think once school starts we'll get in a good routine and our lives will finally settle back down.  I'm very much looking forward to that!

I took lots of pictures of our house in Sugar Land so that the girls can see where we lived for 5 years.  We really enjoyed living in Sugar Land and our house there.  I hope that they remember it!  We moved there when Jayda was only 10 months old and she went to Kindergarten in the neighborhood.  We also brought Sydney and Avery home from the hospital there so that house will always be very special to us.  Although it was pretty sad to leave and think about all the good memories we have, we're excited to start a new chapter in Huntsville.  Jacob seems to love his new job and it's great to be so close to our families!

The For Sale sign in our front yard.  We put it on the market on Friday July 14th and it was under contract with a full price offer by Sunday July 16th.  Talk about fast!  We closed on it August 21st!  So thankful that everything went so smoothly!

Our front yard.

The awesome kitchen.

Playroom.

Another view of the playroom.  It looks so empty by this point.  Before we
packed all the toys up that room was completely full of toys!

Futon in the playroom...lots of cartoon watching done here. :)

Breakfast room.  We ate almost all of our meals here, hardly ever used the dining room.

Living area.

Master bedroom.

Although it doesn't look much like a dining room, it was at one point.

Jayda's blue horsey room.  So sad that Jacob and Oma just painted this room for her about 9 months ago. :(

Other side of Jayda's room.

Sydney's room.

Sydney's wall and dresser.

Avery's room.  This room also had been painted 9 months ago before Avery was born.

Other side of Avery's room.  Looks so empty...
Had to take a picture of the girls bathroom.  Lots and lots of baths were taken in here.
And, we had a new bathtub and all of the tile redone a few years ago.

This sweet babe had her 2nd ear infection at only 7 months.  Hoping tubes are not in our future.

Avery started crawling at 7 months.  At first she would just scoot forward and face plant but then she got the hang of it.  Now she crawls all over the place and likes to follow me and her sisters everywhere.  It's so cute!

Big girls getting ready to go swimming for the last time at our neighborhood pool.

Little sisters playing together.  Love them!

Heading to the pool for the last time...sniff, sniff.

Sydney is such a big girl and learned to swim this summer!  She never took
swim lessons, just taught herself while trying to keep up with big sister.  She is one determined little tough lady.

Swimming at the neighborhood pool.  Jayda loves to swim!

Soon after Avery started crawling she also started pulling up.  I saw her on the monitor one day pulling up after her nap.

Soon enough she learned how to pull herself up and stand.  This is her doing that for the first time at her changing table.

Sweet girl playing with sister's wallet.  She thinks it's her toy.

Avery loves to chew on all of her toys!

Our sweet girls on the front porch for the last time. 922 Evandale Lane :(

The first weekend that we moved back Mammaw and Papaw came down for a visit.
We celebrated Mammaw's 70th birthday!

Happy Birthday Mammaw!

Silly girls trying on a wig.

That sunday was also MY 30th birthday, oh my!  Can't believe I'm already 30 years old!!  The girls were so sweet and made me a delicious breakfast before Jacob and I had to go back to the house to finish packing and cleaning.

Me and the girls with Lourdes on my birthday.   So thankful for all of  them!

After packing the rest of our stuff and cleaning the house all day we headed back to Huntsville so that we could have a birthday dinner with my parents at Olive Garden.  We came back to Oma and Oupa's house afterwards for birthday cake.

Silly girls swimming at Cole and Caitlyn's pool.  The girls sure do love their Caitlyn!

Sydney likes to feed the chickens.

Happy baby because we found the activity table for her!  This was one of Jayda and Sydney's favorite toys at this age.

Crazy girl wanted me to take a picture of her with her hair all messed up.

She found a car, yay!

Little bit loves to find cords.  In this case she found the one underneath a chair and got stuck.
We had stepped outside for a minute and came back to find her like this. ;)

Avery has so much fun playing with boxes! She can be entertained by them for hours!

Sweet girl turned 8 months old on August 14th.

I didn't get many good pictures because all she wanted to do was eat the sticker!

Sydney always has to jump in the picture too!

Playing in her bouncer.

Moving day was saturday, August 17, 2013!  The movers came and loaded
everything at our house on Friday then brought it to Huntsville on Saturday.

I got Avery a new grocery cart cover so now she can ride in the basket like a big girl.  She loved it!

We went to play at sonic one day for lunch.

Avery Mae finally got her first tooth today!  She is just over 8 months old!  It's her bottom middle left one.

We knew she must be getting one soon because she's been chewing on everything, drooling a ton and not sleeping very well.

"Cheeeeeeeese!"
