Scootin' Around

Nothing too much to report around here lately. Both Jayda and Sydney got sick with a yucky virus last thursday and are just now getting over it, so that has not been too fun. Therefore, I haven't gotten too many cute pictures recently. Although the girls were sick over the weekend they still went to stay with Oma and Oupa at their farm in Waller. And, even though they both ran fever all weekend they had a blast! Thank you SO much Oma and Oupa for taking them and giving us a break, we had a wonderful, relaxing weekend together! The girls pretty much had their own zoo out there feeding the cows, goats, and fish and meeting the new neighbor donkey, Jack. The bluebonnets were out in full bloom and blankets of them surronded their barn, it was beautiful! Oma got a new EZ-Go so the girls loved getting to ride around on that all weekend. Jayda was even driving it all on her own, pedals/wheel and all! She LOVED that, especially since she asks me all the time when she's going to be 16 so that she can drive?! Oh, that girl!

Going out for one of many rides on the EZ Go with Oma. The girls had so much fun on it!

They love feeing cubes to Oma and Oupa's cows, Harry and Oreo.

Playing in the beautiful bluebonnets!

Oupa took them to pet the new donkey next door, Jack. They have still been talking about Jack.

Feeding the goats a little grass at the goat farm. They thought this was so cool!

Sweet girls wearing some of their new outfits Mama got them. Love the pretty colors!

The girls are SO into their scooters right now. Jayda has had one for a while and Sydney started scootin' around on it one day, without any help or teaching. She was so good on it right away. Ever since she has loved the scooter and the girls had been getting into lots of fights over it. Thankfully, Oma got Sydney her very own scooter for her birthday so now they love to ride them together. We take them to the park a lot and ride around the neighborhood. They did try bringing them inside the house for a while to ride around on. But, after Jayda crashed into our new furniture (whoops) and Sydney busted her lip I had to make a new rule...scooters have to stay outside!

Scootin' out at the park. Of course I couldn't get them both to look at me and smile, so I'll just put up 2 pics...Sydney smiling for me.

Now Jayda's cheesing and Sydney's looking away...always happens.

On the move, Sydney always follows behind her big sister.

"Faster, faster, faster!!"

Sweet girl outside before church.

Matching sisters!

Jayda loves her daddy!

Playing in the water fountain at church.

Jayda took a picture of us, love the angle!

All ready for a sunday afternoon bike ride.

Checking out the ducks and turtles at the park.

Laughing at the duckies!

"What, you wanna take my picture?!"

I took the girls out for a walk with their scooters to play in the water puddles after the rain. They were so excited!

Sydney loved stomping in the water. She would go through one puddle then turn around and go back and forth over and over until we finally convinced her to keep walking so that we could find another puddle.

We had a delicous dinner at Taste of Texas to celebrate Andrea's birthday!

We did a little swimsuit shopping today and the girls wanted to put this one on because it was their favorite. So cute!

March: A Little Catch Up!

At the beginning of the month Jayda had rodeo day at school. She was very excited about this and wanted me and Sydney to join in on the fun. Oh yay! She really wanted me to see her do "this dance". I wasn't sure exactly what she was talking about, but finally by the very end (2 hours later) I got to watch her line dance and sing. I loved getting to watch her and video taped the whole thing. She was very proud of herself!

Going for a ride on the pony, yee-haw! This was actually the same pony from Sydney's birthday party, Milkshake. The girls thought that was pretty neat.

The girls loved petting the pony.

Jayda pretending to rope a cow, she thought this was pretty cool.

The girls digging for "gold".

Getting her picture on the saddle!

Sweet girls taking a break and eating a little trail mix. Sydney just had to get up there with all the big girls. :)

Jayda's class doing their line dance for all the mommy's and dadddy's. SO cute!

Dancing to the music.

This is what Sydney was doing while Jayda was doing her dance...jumping up and down on the curb. She is a silly girl.

A few weeks later was Klint (Jacob's brother)and Brandy's wedding. The girls were both flower girls in the wedding and had lots of fun getting all dressed up and pretty for the wedding. I didn't get many pictures at the wedding because their photographer was taking a ton of pics, but I did get a few.

On friday night at the rehearsal.

Jayda with Caitlyn and Grace at the wedding reception. What pretty little girls!

Caitlyn and Sydney dancing it up at the reception.

The girls were so sweet and wanted to give Klint and Brandy a toast after the wedding. Jayda said "we love you" and Sydney said "forever and ever and ever and ever!" It was too cute!

The weekend after the wedding Jacob and I headed up to Seattle to see our sweet friends Greg and Lauren, and to celebrate Lauren's birthday. We had an amazing time, as we always do. Huge thank you to Nana and Pawpaw for taking care of the girls while we were gone, they had lots of fun! On saturday morning we went out for a delicious breakfast at Five Spot(best breakfast place ever!!) and then did a little sight seeing around Seattle. First we went by Kerry Park to get some pics of downtown.

Love this picture! Jacob and I at Kerry Park with the beautiful Seattle skyline behind us.

Our sweet friends Greg and Lauren at Kerry Park. Love them too!

The boys joking around, how cute is that?!

Sweet friends.

After that we went downtown to Pike Place Market and made a little stop at the first Starbucks. It is so pretty down there and everything is so fresh, we had a great time!

Jacob and I at the market.

Lauren and I in front of the famous fish throwing Pike Place Fish Co.

After playing tourists for a while we headed over to Wes and Kyle's house for Ellie's 1st birthday party. We were so excited to see Wes and Kyle, and their new house, and of course to meet Ellie!

Love these adorable pics of her first year.

How precious is she?! Not only is she so adorable, but she has the best personality too. She's so easy going and super sweet. Love her!

Mommy and Daddy bringing in the birthday cake, yum! So glad we could be there!

That night was Lauren's big birthday dinner celebration. Everything looked so nice and it really was so much fun!

The beautiful table all set up for the dinner party, so pretty!

Lauren and Greg with the chefs for the night.

Ready to party!

College buddies, Jacob and Wes.

Greg giving Lauren a very sweet birthday toast.

We went out to dinner on the last night at Palisades. It is a beautiful restaraunt in the marina that looks out directly over the water. Across the water is downtown Seattle and once the sun goes down you can look over and see the downtown skyline all lit up. Totally reminded me of Grey's Anatomy, lol! It was a beautiful view! Thank you Greg and Lauren for a wonderful time, we love you guys and can't wait to see y'all again soon!

A few fun pictures of the girls hanging out:

Being silly girls at the house.

Jayda loves to fix Sydney's hair. The other day while Sydney was eating lunch Jayda put her hair in pig tails. How cute is that? Amazing that she lets Jayda fix her hair, she will hardly let me touch it!

Jayda also likes to pull Sydney around the neighborhood in the wagon. They are such sweet sisters...most of the time. :)

Doing a little painting at the house earlier this week. These girls LOVE to paint!

My silly little painters.

Look who's wearing big girl panties now??!!

Sydney and I went to play at the park this morning. It was beautiful outside! As soon as I took my camera out to snap a few shots of Sydney she ran away saying "I not pay wif you!" She has decided she doesn't like the camera anymore, sad!

Climbing up to the slide, and still saying she doesn't want to play with me, haha! That is her new saying whenever she gets mad. Her little personality is really starting to come out, and so are the lovely "terrible two's".
