October Fun!

We have had lots of fun this past week. The girls and I spent a lot of time at the parks around our neighborhood because the weather was so nice!

Having fun on the airplane at the park...well, actually she just knocked sister off the back wing and thought it was hilarious. Sisterly love!

Taking a ride on the "horse-horse" as Sydney likes to call the airplane.

Loving on each other at the park, sweet girls.

L-O-V-E!

The girls always have fun feeding the ducks. This particular day the ducks decided to jump out of the water and come straight up to us and grab the food, not too sure about that.

"Sliiiiiiide" as she would say.

Cheesing for mommy on the slide, sweet girl.

She was in the mood to have her picture taken so mommy wasn't gonna so no. So cute!

My little monkey!

On friday night Daddy brought home candy bouquets for each of the girls from one of his clients. So sweet and the girls LOVE them!

She wanted the ginormous lollipop first of course, aaaahhh!

On saturday morning Jayda had another soccer game at 8:00 a.m. bright and early. She did a great job and was such a good sport as usual.

Jayda with her game face on, lol. Ready for the game to start.

Going after the ball! She ended up scoring 4 goals on saturday, although she'd tell she scored 16! She loves the number 16 now because she can't wait to be 16 yrs. old so that she can drive a car, getting a little ahead of yourself missy!

Sydney likes to dig for ants at Jayda's soccer game, mabye not such a good idea Syd!

This afternoon Oma and Oupa came to visit us and we went out to the pumpkin patch. Oma brought the girls adorable Halloween outfits so of course we had to wear them to the pumpkin patch, thank you Oma! We had lots of fun looking around at the pumpkins, doing a few crafts, and getting the girls faces painted.

Jayda was so excited to get her face painted!

Sydney was excited too, but didn't quite know what was going on.

"Whatcha' doing over there?"

Yay, all done!!

She liked her little "monk-monk".

Jayda loved her butterfly face painting, so pretty!

Saying hi to the scarecrow.

Such a sweet pic of Sydney with the little pumpkin she picked out.

Family pic at the pumpkin patch, gotta love Jayda's cheesy smile...she was ready to get in the bounce house!

Sweet sisters at the pumpkin patch.

Each one holding up the pumpkins they picked out to take home, very fitting.

Jayda made pumpkin necklaces filled with orange sand for her and Sydney, she thought this was so cool!

The pumpkin is almost as big as her.

The only smile we got from Sydney at the pumpkin patch, dancing with Oupa to the music.

Two little pumpkins for two little munchkins.

After visiting the pumpkin patch we headed over to Jayda's pre-school for an ice cream social. Oma and Oupa came with us and Jayda got to show them around her school and classroom. She was so excited to see her teachers and friends from school. She absolutely loves school and all of the people there. I am so thankful that we have such an amazing pre-school for our kiddos right here in the neighborhood!

Jayda hugging her teacher from this year with her teacher from last year standing behind. She loves them both SO much!

Sydney @ 20 Months

Sydney turned 20 months old yesterday! I can not believe she is creeping up on 2 years old! I got a little sentimental yesterday thinking about how much she is growing up, which explains the ton of pictures I took of her at the park. It seems like the 2nd ones grow up 10 times faster than the first, it's amazing! Just crazy to think my "baby" is already becoming a little toddler, sniff, sniff. Ok, enough of the sappy stuff, Sydney is such a wonderful little girl and so happy all the time. She is such a joy to be around and so easy going. Sydney LOVES her big sister more than anything! The first person she asks for whenever she wakes up is "Jay-ja". She always wants to know where Jayda is and loves playing with her all the time. It is so sweet. And big sister loves her just as much! They love being together, playing together, laughing together, getting into mischief together, you name it.

Sweet sisters going down the slide together.

Sydney @ 20 months playing at Pecan Park

After Jayda, the next thing Sydney loves is being outside. She would stay outside ALL day long if I let her. She always gets so mad when we have to come inside. And then, after Jayda and being outside, her other favorite thing is horses. She absolutely loves them! I think it all started when Nana and Pawpaw got Emma Lou. She asks for horses all day long. She looks for horses in books, she plays with toy horses, she looks for them when we are driving in the car, or when we are at home, she even pretends that the little airplane at the park is a horse and rides it. She is crazy for horses and it is so darn cute. It is very fitting that her and Jayda are going to be little cowgirls for Halloween, definitely going to have to get her a stick horse to go along with her costume.

Sydney has started talking a lot more lately. She is learning so many new words and copies anything you say, or says anything you ask her to. Whenever we sing the abc song she follows right along with us and sings too. She also mimics Jayda when she's spelling out words with foam letters in the bathtub. Another funny little thing that Sydney has been doing lately is getting a blanket and wanting me to wrap her up in it and rock her while singing Rock a Bye Baby. She usually brings the blanket to me and says "rock-rock' It is the sweetest thing and of course I can't resist. She has also started sleeping with a blanket and loves it, so sweet. Whenever I ask her "what's your name?" she always says it's "baby" not Sydney. It's so funny! And, if I ask her if she's mama's baby she tells me, "no, da-da's!" She is quite the silly girl!

Sydney really likes reading books. I love getting to read books to her, and she actually sits there and listens. It is so nice! She loves any book with a horse in it, of course. Another favorite right now is a book of nursery rhymes. Her favorite nursery rhyme is Hush Little Baby. She smiles so big when we sing her that one and sings along with us. Another favorite rhyme is Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear. She thinks that one is so funny. Sydney also likes to color these days. Whenever big sister gets out the coloring books and crayons Sydney always wants to join in to. Sydney's favorite are the markers. She always says "mark, mark, mark!" so that she can have a marker when we get the colors out. She actually does a pretty good job especially for being so little.

Had to throw in a few cute pics the best big sister ever!!

Race for the Cure, The Zoo & Chuck E. Cheese!

This past saturday my mom, Lourdes and I all did the Race for the Cure in downtown Houston. We had a lot of fun running and hanging out after the race. There were a TON of people there, so although that made it a bit hard to run, it was great to see so many come out for a great cause!

Mom and I just after we finished the run, yay us!

All 3 of us after the race posing with the pink yellow cab taxi.

Mom with the MD Anderson pink ribbon, so pretty.

On sunday we headed to the zoo with the girls. My mom had come to stay with us after the race on saturday so she got to go with us too. The weather was great for the zoo and the girls had lots of fun as usual. We got to hear several zookeeper talks this visit so that was pretty neat.

Heading into the zooooooo!

So excited to be at the zoo and checking out the fish!

She thought the jellyfish were pretty cool, neat pic!

Say cheeeese! Family pic at the aquarium.

Sydney loved looking at the fish.

Checking out the octopus, so crazy looking.

Big munchkin leading the way and little munchkin following behind, neither one in the wagon that daddy is pulling. Silly girls!

Thought this was such a cool picture. The lion was laying just on the other side of the glass from Jayda. She got to see him very close up this time.

Listening to the zookeeper talk about the tigers and watching them get fed.

Feeding the giraffe lettuce leaves. Check out that tongue!

Feeding the giraffes was SO much fun, highly recommend it!

Had to take a ride on the carousel of course.

Petting the goats, we definitely have two animal lovers!

Brushing the goats goatees, hilarious!

The girls got popsicles while we were waiting in line for the train and Sydney's matched her outfit, too cute!

Jayda was out of school today because of early release at Ft. Bend ISD so we decided to go have some fun at Chuck E. Cheese. The girls had a blast running around and playing games. They pretty much had the whole place to themselves so that was fun.

Going on her first ride at Chuck E's, yay!

Sydney had to do it next, woo-hoo!

They love saying hi to Chuck E.!

Sydney found a new place to sit on the ride.

Jayda driving the monster truck. She kept saying "hold on Sydney!!"

They LOVED riding the horsey together and were laughing so hard!

Cute pic I had to throw in of Sydney:

Sweet girl sitting on her soccer ball at Jayda's practice, too cute!
