First Astro's Game!

Last weekend we got everything packed up at our duplex. Thank goodness we finally finished that ginormous task!! I really don't think there is anything worse than moving! Anyways, we couldn't move into our new house until the end of the month because that's the earliest the sellers could move out. So, we're now staying in Huntsville because Jacob started his barbri review class this week and it's in Houston. It's been so nice being here this week. We've been able to hang out with lots of our friends and family. We're so excited about being closer to everyone!

Last night we went to our first Astro's game of the season, and Jayda's first Astro's game ever. We had a lot of fun and Jayda had a blast. She loves watching everything that's going on around her. She kept wanting to touch everyone's soda bottles or peanuts or anything that looked intersting to her. We went and checked out the kids zone, but she was a bit small for that. Pretty soon she'll be able to go and play in all those fun tunnels.

All 3 of us at the game.

This was last sunday before church. She can not keep any type of shoe on!

Or bow for that matter. What am I going to do with a little girl that I can't accessorize??!!

Packing, Packing, and MORE Packing!!

Jacob and I have been packing up our place all week long. We are both so tired of packing! I hate moving!! Thankfully Jacob's parents are coming to stay with us this weekend to watch Jayda so that we can solely focus on packing. We are trying to have everything packed up by Sunday so that when we come back to move on the 31st it will all be ready to go. Hopefully we get it all finished!

Last weekend we had a great Mother's Day. On Saturday we went down to Sugar Land to see our house. We needed to check on a couple of things and it was great to go back and see it since we'd only seen it once in person for about 10 minutes! My parents and Jacob's parents also came down with us so they got to see the house for the first time. Afterwards we went to Texas Land and Cattle and had a great dinner. We can't wait to move in and make it our own little home. We are set to close May 28th and move in the 31st! Yay! On Sunday we had a nice relaxing day. Jacob, my mom, Jayda and I went on a long walk to the duck pond in Huntsville and all through the university. It was such a pretty day. We then let Jayda play in her new pool, which she loves and then had a bbq at Jacob's house that night. It was definitely a wonderful first Mother's Day for me! Hope you all have a great weekend!

First trip to the ZOO!

Today Jacob and I took Jayda on her first trip to the zoo. She had a great time. She especially loved the big aquarium with all of the fish and the giraffes. She kept waving at them both. It was super cute! We can't wait to take her to the Houston Zoo once we move.

She was waving at the fish in the aquarium.

Pretty smile (notice the jaguar in the background).

Daddy and Jayda in the teepee.

She was also waving at the giraffe!

This meerkat was sooo cute! It started standing up when we went up to it!

Jayda says "Hooray" for the zoo!

This wasn't at the zoo, but I wanted to put it up because you can really see her top 2 teeth.

Hope everyone has a great weekend and a happy Mother's Day!

Officially a law school graduate!

Well, Jacob finally graduated from law school on saturday! After 3 long, hard years of law school, he is now completely done! Yay!!!!!!! We had a great weekend. Most of our family came into town on Friday night and we had a pizza party at the hotel pool where our guests were staying.

Jayda swimming for the first time ever. She loved it!

Then, saturday was graduation. It was a very nice ceremony. We took cow bells and clappers and screamed very loudly for Jacob when he walked accross the stage. We were all so proud of him! Jayda of course slept through the entire graduation.

So, after graduation we had big bbq party out at the Hewitt Park next to our house. We had tons of bbq and cookie cake, played volleyball and horseshoes and just really had a great time. Several of Jacob's good buddies from law school also came out to celebrate. We couldn't of asked for a better celebration!

Me and Jacob, yay!!

Graduation is less than a week away!

Well, graduation is fastly approaching for Jacob. It is now less than one week away! Hooray! We are so excited about it and can't wait to see all of our family that is coming in town. We're having a big bbq party at the park after graduation and we're really looking forward to hanging out with everyone! We also just found out that 3 of Jacob's closest buddies from law school - Jude, Rem and Joe are also going to have their graduation parties with us at the park. So, we're going to have one big huge celebration! I think it's going to be so fun to celebrate and have a great time! Hopefully we have better weather next weekend than we did this weekend since we're doing everything outside. Can you tell I'm a little excited?!

Anyways, I really wanted to get on here to post a hillarious picture of Jayda. She was trying to get up to the window seal to pull stuff off of it. In doing so, she climbed into her stuffed animal basket and got stuck. It was so funny!! I did eventually get her out after taking lots of pictures!

Stuck in her basket.

She got sleepy and layed her head down on the bunny.

She has started using her book shelf as a playhouse. She takes her blocks over to the shelf and bangs them down and plays with them in the little cubby.

Jayda turns 9 months old!

So Jayda officially turned 9 months old yesterday! She also had her 9 month well baby check up yesterday. I was expecting her to get shots, but the Dr. said she was all caught up on her shots and wouldn't need anymore until 12 months! Hallelujah! I was dreading her having to get shots all week long and come to find out she didn't even need any! I was so happy! She did have to have a little finger prick done to check for anemia, but she didn't even cry. What a big girl! I took some pictures of her yesterday on her 9 month birthday. She had found Jacob's highlighter (Jacob's studying for finals right now) and wouldn't put it down for the pictures, so that is why she has a highlighter in her hands!

Silly girl!

I tried to put a bow on her, but you can see how that turned out!

She's waving at me with highlighter in hand!

Recent happenings with Jayda!

She has realized that she can pull her shoes off. So, now everytime we put her shoes on she takes them right off and starts biting them (no matter how tight I put them on). It's kind of embarassing when we take her out without any shoes on, but she just won't leave them alone!

Jayda has started giving kisses to everybody. She was trying to give Harley a kiss here...no,no Jayda we can't do that!

She also loves playing on her little car. She has learned how to push herself backwards on it and loves to pull things out of the engine (we put little toys in it fir her to pull out).

She also recently started waving at people. Last night at Olive Garden she would not stop waving at the poor people around us. They were trying to be nice and kept waving back. It was pretty funny!
